It is an ad campaign! :D We are trying to build a large, close and loyal community as soon possible so we can password the server 24/7. Hopefully when we achieve that, we can remove all the ingame messages, as they wont be needed ( I hate all text spam, but its a necessary evil at the moment ).

Theres a large part of the PR community who never visit any forums, so its partly to attract those people, and once theyre on our forum, they find out about our x-fire group ( and x-fire itself :) ) and download mumble.

If you check the PR mumble server at primetime US playing time, there's more people using mumble in Australia, in their afternoon, than the whole North American playing population in their evening ( theres usually less than 20 of them - all on TG ) So what's needed is some heavy "marketing"

Last night was the first night using the US based Reality Teamwork server, so we attracted a few new US players. I personally got 10 new US players in my squads to install mumble, which they had never even heard of it before - that was just last night! They all loved it, and Im sure that several of them will become loyal players on our server. 2-3 weeks of ingame spam will eventually turn into a full US server and EU server, with everyone using mumble :)

Yah And then we will take over the WOOOORLD!!!!

FTW!

i mean... Eerrr... Yeah, mumble is nice :D

But also, this goes both ways, for the community, basically i spend alot of time reading the forums, and when these new players ask me, WTH are you doing? I say, reading the Effin forum of PR! You read! *Send link*

Player goes *wooooah*

So, yeah. :D

Suddenly there will be 5 new threads about fastropez haha

I think the 'ad campaign' is a necessity until the passworded server is self sufficient.

Its very hard to fill a passworded server regularly.

RT - Reality Teamwork Mumble (North America)

Post by space »

=US= Reality Teamwork Mumble Launch Night

Following the success of our EU based server, the Reality teamwork community is now ready to launch the new US based server for all you North American dudes!

The launch night will be

Friday 24th July
6pm PDT
9pm EDT
1am GMT

The server will be passworded and the password can be found in the left hand column of the mumble screen, when you log into the RT mumble channel.

What is the Reality Teamwork community?

We are not a clan, in fact most of our members are members of the various PR clans.

We are a community where, we hope to take teamwork in PR to a higher level. By enforcing use the PR Mumble VOIP system, we hope to move away from squad based teamwork, and move towards team based teamwork.

Our guide to mumble can be found here:

www.realityteamwork.com/mumble

You can join our community here:

Register to join the Reality Teamwork Community

The community is free to join, and there are no leaders in Reality Teamwork - everything is decided by its members. As the community grows, both servers will move towards being passworded 24/7 , so that a high standard of players and teamwork can be upheld.

NB. Ths US server is up already, but we cannot guarantee that there will be an admin, or many mumblers on there, until after the launch night. If you are on the server please give non-mumblers the download link, and explain the benefits of mumble to them.

No doubt our North American friends have the same feeling whenever PR events are announced

Having the US server now allows us to run events for the US, with suitable times and great ping :)

Also the servers that RT uses are L33t - Many of our European members get less than 100 ping to the US server. ;)

Space lies, I vividly remember his ping was 104 last night on the US server. That's a whole 4 above 100.

Yes it was  We were only full for a short period each night. As we're using the US server this weekend ( and many in eastern Europe get high ping, so our numbers are reduced ) we wont be using the password - it will be back next weekend ;)

I really enjoy playing on RT EU server, but sometimes my latency is just too ridiculous to be an effective team-mate. That being said, I am glad you are launching a North American server for all us Yanks and Canucks. I look forward to joining future RT events on the new server!

Im sure most of you guys are at work/school etc, which is the problem for promotion. Try and spread the word as much as you can - hopefully we can get the server full of North American mumblers next weekend :)

And a few are at work AND trolling the PR forums! :-D

Trying to get my BF2 friends into PR, so hopefully I can break them in before the launch and bring some fresh meat to the slaughter!
