Yea its been a long time for the next mumble PR update, prety much since the server prodivers of the current mumble server (TCC) are unsure if they will be able to financially support the server for much longer.

So basically we have been contacting server providers to get another one lined up, but also debating whether to keep it on 1 server or let each server setup their own mumble. One of the main reasons we think the VOIP cuts out on mumble is because of the amount of traffic that there can be when multiple full servers of mumble users are transmitting simultaneously.

Hopefully we get the new version out soon with the new features :)

Yeah there is. You just change the skin following the tutorial here ---> Skinning - Mumble

However you will have to download the mumble skin from the sourceforge files because I completely replaced the files with the PR one.

You could always look on one of these sites for more skins that might take your fancy as well (I really rather like the grey one by MiskyWhixer , and the NextGen one looks pretty cool as well.) -->

me 2, though I've had the best rounds ever on mumble on Tactical Gamer lately even with the problems of the current version.

(on fools road for example, 2 squads moving together along a ridge, we found an enemy chech squad, the first man in to contact would shout on mumble "one 10m in front of me!, I got him covered" the second man goes "Copy, throwing nade"

nade goes out, the two men then get the bugger while hes suppressed and bleeding. Rinse and repeat.

or enemy APC approaching, 2 squads together, 1 squad is out of ammo but has the AT, shouting on mumble the 2nd squad immediately runs over with ammo, both squads are protected from armour as a result.

Great times)

Mumble has taken over as the #1 PR 3rd party comm program, just absolutely crushing TS.

I remember when TS would have as many as 20 or so users on the TG server. Now, barely anybody is on TS anymore and lately I've seen 30-40+ users on the Mumble server channel (even though mumble is not a requirement on TG)!

Oh oh, now you crossed the line :p

TS3 looks awesome though, and you gotta admit that mumble's interface isnt as good as TS.

yeah the whisper function is like TS, where you whisper to a preset set of players or channels

latest version of mumble is very sleak though, good work by those guys

Seeing mumble is open source, and the PR team is gonna keep developing a PR version alongside the ordinary, i have real doubts TS will get back on top in this community. Mumble incorporated into PR2 might be team's option on VOIP as well.
I'm surprised tho, i'd never thought TS3 would even hit this stage. Excited to check it out.
