You Have GOT to be kidding me!!! HELP

Post by Deebo »

Geez, I have never had as much trouble with a computer program than with this.. I went to hell and back to get Netframework to install, and none of the fixes worked, so I formated my HD and started fresh which took another few hours, now netframe installs fine, but when I try to run the game, the project reality logo/trademark screen comes up, then 2 seconds later goes right back to the desktop. WTF? Not trying to whine but geez what gives? Any fix for this problem? Thanks

Well if its loading the PR logo is loading bF2 and so its not a PR.exe problem any more. Have you patched your BF2 to 1.41 ?

Also first time out ... try just loading bf2 vanilla and recovering your profiles so that they are there when you launch PR.

I had a exactly the same problem and it has been mentioned in a couple of other threads. I first happened on PR and then began doing the same on vanilla and SF. I re installed everything and it worked fine again once...
I'm not sure eventually fixed the problem for me but I have fixed with a combination of re installing gfx drivers and as suggested above repatching BF2.

When asking for help,
please remember to post your:
Operating System (OS)
systems specs (MoBo, GFX, Audio, generally hardware),
And a brief history before and after problem started. (Did you change anything? new drivers, new Anti-Vir...)

to get an error msg from bf2 you can start it in windowed mode:
change your link's parameters to "+fullscreen 0"
try reproducing the error and
then google the error message you get from bf2
