This is a little hard to explain, but has anyone else noticed that you can only change your aiming angle by a minimum amount when sighted in? Like I try to aim a little to the left and it will move in jumps, making it really hard to aim at things.
I don't know if this is something to do with my settings but I think it must be intrinsic to the game or something.
Basically I want to know if this effects anyone else and how to turn it off if possible.

I'd say its something to do with the DPI settings of your mouse. But yeah I used to notice it too and then got a mouse with adjustable DPI and its not been a problem since.

Razer Copperhead user here. No problems.
The only jumps during aiming I experience occurs with connection lag when I am rubber-banding.

Re: Minimum aim movement
before I got my logitech mx 518 (nicely priced mouse, I love it) I had my sensitivity set quite low ingame so that this wouldn't be a problem, but it does mean you are at a disadvantage in CQB.
its an old problem of gaming

Re: Minimum aim movement
^^ Yeah I have an MX518 also and it is excellent, can turn the DPI down to whatever when firing long range or HAT sniping and then turn it right up for CQB.

Re: Minimum aim movement
My DPI setting on my mouse is at 2000, the highest I can set it to, on top of that it is a new mouse and I have noticed no difference from the old one, is there an in-game DPI setting or something I can alter?
EDIT: It seems the only way to help this problem is to greatly reduce the in-game mouse sensitivity and turn up my general mouse sensitivity, evidently BF2 uses quite a primitive sensitivity adjusting system.
EDIT 2: I find sensitivity of about 0.8 perfect, where previously I was using 2.4, the jumps are barely noticeable, although it does mean I turn a lot slower.

Re: Minimum aim movement
i had this pretty bad in 2142. set your mouses sensitivity WAY up, and decrease the ingame sensitivity. worked perfectly afterwards.
if its still going on, check the windows cursor movement speed. I don't know if this has any effect on the game, but its worht a look.
