black screen after spash screen

i have seen some ppl with simmaller problems, (i have yet to try some of the sollutions, but i have tried one or two)

i cannot reinstall bf2, due to messed up disk 2,

i get a black screen every time i click bf2, pr, aix, anything..

whene i startup company of heros, it stays on the relic downloader, but that may just be becuase i havent played in a while...

ive heard black screen after login, and black screen after loading, but i get one after spash screen.


the last things ive changed within one month

installed new antivirus: avast antivirus
game worked fine
installed new drivers last night, worked fine later in the night

that same night thow, after updating my vidio drivers, i had to press the buttion to shut down the game and every thing quick, cuz i was getting nagged to shut down the computer NOW!=P

but i pressed the buttion and left, now bf2 wont work....

i restarted after driver update, then i went straght to playing. then the bad shutdown by buttion press... i tell you, thats all i did

Delete your BF2 folder in My documents, then start Vanilla, then log out and run PR.

should fix it.

ok, that did not work, and i noticed more stuff on the computer will not work.

i use firefox, and everything i download still saves, but i can not start the install...
like neither steam nor aa3 deploy client would install, but i downloaded and saved both... whene i put the bf2 disk in, the defualt disk in popup thing dose not start....

whene i hit "my computer" it takes forever to load.. if it dose, i did not wait longer then 2 min for it two open...

i have changed nothing scince first post....

also, theis may need to be moved to general computer help or w/e the fourm is called, scince this dose not only apply to pr longer...
