Another quick prob with my game crashing...

Post by Psycho »

I have done everything including running it on low, and in window mode. I only have 1.2 gigs of ram DDR. So I dont need to do the solution with letting it use more than 2 gigs of ram.

I have a PNY Geforce 8400 GS
Windows XP 32 bit
I didnt change anything either it just started out of the blue about 2 days ago. It worked fine before for about 3 months.

When I join a server is only when it happens. I get into a game and start playing for about 3 minutes i get warning conection problem, then it goes away then about 15 secs later it crashes. Only thing recent i have done was adding a 215mb ddr ram stick i had found laying around.

You need to give more information about your system & at which moments the game crashes etc
Otherwise we might as well say "its an act of God" ...

When asking for help,
please remember to post your:
Operating System (OS)
systems specs (MoBo, GFX, Audio, generally hardware),
And a brief history before and after problem started. (Did you change anything? new drivers, new Anti-Vir...)
Please describe as precise as possible when your problem hits and
what you have already tried.

Psycho, quite frankly, your not following the guidelines on posting, you were pretty rude to another member of the forums in a previous post, and quite arsey when you fixed your problem yourself.

so, I am less inclined to help you at this time.

We are not here to wait on you hand and foot, but if somebody else feels like helping you that is fine, but until you follow the guidelines of posting, and actually help us out to help you out then your on your own.

sorry, but civility gets you everywhere here...

Don't mix ram size/speed = fubar.
Install a matched pair of 1 gig chips at least
ram is cheep get as much as you can afford that can work with your motherboard.
Tip: Buy the fastest ram your motherboard can use.
There is a good chance you can reuse it when you upgrade later and save a few $$
