The colapsable verticle front grip for the L85 has become more popular with the british troops, is it something that would be considered in the nxt update?

Re: [Weapon]L85 front grip
Sure would be nice aesthetically, but I doubt they would actually change the characteristics of the weapon's behaviour ingame, since its nicely balanced atm.

Well if it would be ingame I'm sure they would animate it so that you see the character hold the front grip in 1p.foxxravin wrote:Do you see that you hold the verticle grip ingame anyways? would be cool 3p tho![]()

Re: [Weapon]L85 front grip
Don't mean to harp on and I'm sure the DEVs are already aware in some way but the British Army is upgrading all its L85A2s with that over the next few years. They are also replacing the SUSAT optics with ACOGs too. Essentially its the same weapon but with a new hand guard and optics mount.
I sadly don't have the source as it was at Westbury when I did my AOSB, it was in the Infantry Review I think it was called. I also recall that they are changing the Plate carrier for the Osprey armour to have MOLLE webbing points as opposed to the current Osprey Webbing points (meant to be quite rubbish and break often).
There was also mention of a new experimental Hybrid DPM to be used for Plate carriers and helmet covers (but not for Combats) that would be a blend of both Desert and Temperate DPM so new armour and helmet wouldn't be needed for future deployments.
Take all of the above as you will because I can't produce a source for you.

Locked for resuggestion.
Please do search before making a "new" suggestion.
Additionally, the Mod has numerous military advisors, many of whom are currently serving in HM Armed Forces, so the Devs are well aware of the new kit being made available.
Finally, these are cosmetic changes to the weapon concerned and so are extremely low priority.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!
