After I sell my Xbox and other things I'll see how much more money I have I'll find a cheap hard drive and dvd rom.
I'm looking to build a PC that can play Crysis on very high at least. My RES is 1024 x 768
I'm also looking for a AMD 2+ build so I can run a quad core for a cheap price.
Will this be good for 400?

Computer for Crysis?
I'm looking to build a pc with 500 w/o monitor keyboard or mouse.
I'm also wanting it to play the famous game Crysis on very high. I'm sure if I can get this is very high I can play any other games out pretty much. So if you guys could please help me build a system in the 400 - 500$ range it would be greatly appriciated.

Re: Computer for Crysis?
im not sure what prices are like in the states but that's about £300 in the UK i think. That kind of money wont get you a computer that plays crysis- especially on very high. If you doubled or tripled your budget then you might get one, but not for $500. Correct me if im wrong though.

Psycho, can you stop making multiple threads on the same topic please as it is a breach of forum rules and will result in infractions.
Cheers.
as for that build it may struggle to run all things on very high.

Now if a 9800GTX+ can play Crysis on High 1680x1050 then that 4850 will handle if fine on Very High on 1024x768.Psycho wrote:Case - Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER ELITE 335 RC-335-KKN1-GP Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

Stickt, Why would he get a Open Box card? If it was a better card I could see the appeal then sure, but a worse card that's open. No. Just no.

Re: Will this be good for 400?
There is nothing wrong with an open box card, it has a warranty. Instead of spending 120$ on the same exact card (512 vs 1gb big deal) he can get one for almost 50$ cheaper. However he said he had 400-500 you just build a 450$ computer witout a hard drive and no optical so mine would seem to be more along the lines of his budget.FuzzySquirrel wrote:Now if a 9800GTX+ can play Crysis on High 1680x1050 then that 4850 will handle if fine on Very High on 1024x768.

Re: Will this be good for 400?
Wonderful guys I know If I can play Crysis on high, I'm pretty sure Modern Warfare 2 won't be a hassle nor PR
. I will probably get a 19 in HD flat panel you think it will last on high not very high?
I've seen PC's under a 350$ build playing crysis on very high. Just because the game's graphics are a monster dosn't mean you need a 1,000$+ PC build. I've seen videos on youtube with 4850's on crysis very high and it got off with a average of 30 - 40 fps.

Like the deal but I'm looking more at AMD processor, I can get a Quad 2.3ghz for only 100$ and that would definantly hold me off for a few years since i7 just came out.strickt wrote:here

Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK - Desktop Memory
Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz 3 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Black Processor - Processors - Desktops
put these in the combo, should add up to:
cpu+ram+board
$283
+
GPU
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GV-R485OC-1GH Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
My (512MB) version has never gone over 60C no matter what -stock design
4850 run in the high 90C (can ask anyone who has one)
+
find a good deal for a case with built in PSU maybe?
(who needs a case anyway
)
Please no more "can this run Crysis" in any new threads - makes me think it's 2008 again
In other words do take Robbi's advise which is (imo):
MODs here will kill for less then that,I'd keep out of their (blood stained) hands
AMD cpu's - only get the new 45nm Phenom 2's.
X3 (that's) listed is much better then the older X4's ,do not get greedy about the extra cores/price.There is a reason it's 99$,neweggg is no dummy
