I am confused, too many contradictions

Post by Mcmahon48 »

Why when I going to a training map
1 There are about 20 or more americans
2 I am always being set up as a mec
3 Why are the americans allowed to have almost the bases
4 Why are the also allow to spawn camp
I would spawn and within just seconds I would be dead
5 Why do the Americans have non American aircraft
6 Why dont the Mec have vehicles in the south
I was told to go to training bases to get better at my skills but becoming just a pop up target for someone else to improve is not going to improve my skills
So what do I have to do use cheating codes ?
I would like to know why this is the case at most of the training camps.
There is so much contradiction in game.
So how does one get to do helicopter manuevers for the Mec
You can not do hardly anything on the mec side in training
So what do I have to do to come up as an American each time so that I can practice my skills without being a pop up target all the time
How can I develop my shooting skills, and tank gunner skills since it takes more than one person to do these things
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have found your problem within your own post!

Training servers are cesspools of retards, trolls, asset whores, and idiots. Avoid them at all costs. I haven't ever gone to a training server for ten minutes without seeing someone be a complete tard. A lot of people see the menu selection "Training," and think to themselves "Hey, that sounds like a good idea since I am new to the mod." Unfortunately, it leads them to the servers running the training mode, which they join soon to find out that they have made a terrible mistake.

IMO, the "Training" button should lead you to the manual, and the training mode be abolished.

Read the manual that came with the mod, it was placed on your desktop during installation, and then join a real server. Stay away from training servers.

I guess it depends which server, i have actually had some fun rounds on training servers.

I'd suggest joining the US team. The MEC team is really only for good/experienced players. It just puts you on the MEC team because usually most of the players are on the US team and it's trying to even the teams.

About the spawn camping, Kashan training is pretty unique. It involves doing stuff you would never see or even be banned for doing in a regular game. There is a dead zones around the MEC vehicle training spawn point. But the rest are wide open, allowing any US player to camp them at will. So, if you're having trouble staying alive for more than 5 seconds, i would suggest spawning there.

Kashan Training has the MEC players basically defending their bombing range in the middle. My recommendation would be to use a Tunguska Anti-Aircraft vehicle (big tank looking thing with 4 barrels and a bunch of rocket pods) to shoot down aircraft. It also works great against tanks/apcs/infantry since the rounds are explosive. Also try out the MEC APC if you can get someone to drive for you. It's really unique, it has a high rate of fire, and a quick overheat, so practice with it pays off.

But really you should start off on the US team. You'll get much more help/teamwork on that team. And you won't die as much, and can fly the aircraft.

If you read what it says on the map you will see that the heli training is in the north and the jet training is in the south. Servers that run the training maps normally don't have auto balance so just change between MEC and US if you want to train with jets or helis.

The maps is not meant to be balanced or anything, its just there so that people can test out/train with different vehicles and in most cases air vehicles.

But like said before and after me, training server are full of people just screwing around. If you want to learn how to use aircrafts or just test out a vehicle do it on a empty or local server. If you want to become better at gunning a tank or apc or what ever go play the game on a normal server.

go to empty or low person training servers... then you can train your vheical skills....

also, its best to be on training servers without autobalence, and it should allow you to be american.

autobalance is disabled

the MEC choppers can be flown by americans, they are at the american's flag iirc

the MEC are basically mean to practice shooting aircraft down

and the aircraft are practicing attacking idle or active targets in the bombing range

do not bother practicing infantry, you will get bombed over and over and get pissed off.

I think the simplest way of explaining the Kashan training is essentially the "Americans" are just the side you choose to get access to pretty much anything you could wanna practise with and the MEC are just there for AA practise and whatever other random resistance they wanna put up really with what they're given.

A few proper training maps are being worked on, so hopefully there'll be a way of doing some proper training with the US/MEC assets like you can get on Quiling with the Brit/PLA ones, so you can actually do some proper dogfighting practise and proper tank practise rather then just shooting at unmanned AA vehicles...

This is what is so frustrating there are people out there that are so hyperserious about the game and tell you to do these things so that you can supposedly improve to the point that you will not get kicked, banned or be treated like trash do not even know that they are wrong in their suggestions and what good is it when the computer kicks you over to the mec even when you try to be an American. Is there any way to add things to the off line training, for there is no way to tell where you bullet is striking, since there are no tin cans or man size targets.

I'm pretty sure that most training servers don't have auto balance switched on, so you should be able to play what ever side you choose.

You'll always be MEC when you join the server, but just click the team tag, and you'll move over.

You know you have had an aweful lot of posts complaining about this game in the past week or so. Stop whining about the faults of PR because they are easy to spot and actually play the game. Take it for what it is and deal with it. No one on this website or in game want to hear another newbie whining about the game. It's not vanilla BF2, it's not COD 4/5, and it's not soldier of fortune. Realize this and adapt to the gameplay, or please leave. No one wants another person here bitching about PR
