Limited Kit Question
When a limited kit falls into enemy hands is that kit unavailable to the squad / team until the enemy player that has it loses it?

Re: Limited Kit Question
squad kits are not limited by who has the kit, just who can have it selected.
team request kits, are per map...
Ie.. if you have a sniper, and the other team steals it, it can not come back. there are say only 2 kits on the map at a time.
so only 2 american sniper kits in the game at one time, but anyone should be able to take a squad kit if you loose it, and still spawn with it.

Re: Limited Kit Question
If I follow you right - say Americans have two active snipers and Americans steal a MEC sniper kit - that would mean that the MEC forces can only have one sniper kit until the American with the MAC kit loses it, if so will the American side still have access to two American sniper kits if one American sniper goes down even if they still hold a MEC kit?
In other words are the 4 sniper kits for this map scenario global?

Re: Limited Kit Question
In regards to snipers:
On a full 64 player server, there are four possible global sniper kits that are floating around on a normal map between the US and MEC.
There are ONLY 4. Two US Sniper rifles and Two MEC Sniper rifles.
If one of the US Snipers gets knifed and his kit stolen, the balance is One US held Sniper, Three MEC held sniper rifles.
The US cannot obtain a second sniper rifle until the MEC held M40 cycles back into the pool (5 minutes after it dissipates I think)
So to sum it up, there are at maximum on a standard battlefield: 4 Snipers. 2 For each side. If one side gets an extra, the number of kits on the field stays the same. 4. The quartermaster doesn't care who is holding it, just that it's out in the field. Somewhere.

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

Re: Limited Kit Question
thanks, makes it clear. I was trying to understand how valuable gaining and holding an enemy asset was and I think that sums it up.
I also noted that in the manual it only shows kit allocation numbers up to 24-32 players - any reasons for that?

Re: Limited Kit Question
You can't get any sniper rifles for under 24 people on a server, under the guise that they wouldn't be deployed to such "small" conflicts. (If memory serves this is the reasoning)
