I think he means passwording the mumble channel so people cannot join the channel without password

bad idea at this point, more publicity needed.

It's not possible to password Mumble Channels at this Point.
But I think Space understood properly.
Beats me but thats what I though he said

Only thing that 'itches' me is maplist. Before we'll get to maps like Kashan/Muttrah (quality ones), its already 0 - 1 AM.

When you work and need to get up at 5:30 AM its not good... :)

Administration is top notch, space might be able to play once the server either gets passworded or additional admins. The original goal should work out over time.

The players are an interesting lot. There's a lot of voice spam over mumble and a whole lot of "Who was the HAT I sniped lol!" between rounds which makes me loath the players. One round I got a guy to gun for my APC on Jabal and on a full server we single handedly took (with another squad coming in to defend) two flags to almost cap out the enemy after a very slow start. Of course the leet snipers who flooded chat after the round were sitting in absolutely useless positions the whole round and the team was a discombobulated mess. I also haven't seen a commander the times I have played (just an observation, I'm sure I could hop in the chair).

Of course during the rounds I've had great experiences with the people I did squad up with and had a ball. It's the overall teamwork that hasn't come together yet. There's a fair number of smacktards too but they are dealt with quickly. I'm guessing that the server will improve a lot once the password is in place and I hope that isn't too long from now.

Anyway, I give the server 5 stars  and the current population 2 stars. :?

The EU server is top notch at the moment, the US server isn't quiet there yet but it's getting there

He's talking about the US server. Theres only a handful of clans that play on it at the moment, so the quality of play isnt that great yet (I sometimes feel like disconnecting the whole server!)

It will get better - the EU server was the same a few weeks ago, but now it attracts many great players. Theres always admins on the US server, so please report tardish behaviour and they will be dealt with immediately - we only want quality, team working players on there.

I enjoy playing on the server a lot, especially when insurgency maps are played. The admins are on point and do a great job, However and this comes and goes and isn't that big of a deal but mumble spamming is the one negative part, more so mumble spammers who are not in game......but as we all know those who do it, don't last. I have been meaning to register at the website and most likely after this I will register instead of procrastinating.

Thanks for the support. Click the link in my sig below to join the forum, and more importantly join our x-fire group - this gives you instant confidential access to all the on-line admins, plus it is used to distribute other information.

With regard to mumble spam - over the last couple of days, there has been much debate within the RT community about dealing with this. The overall consensus is that we are going to come down hard on it.

We have already perm banned several regulars in the last couple of days, and we will continue to do this to stop the tards from spoiling the experience for others. This isnt force centre spam that we are talking about - it is people just generally acting like dicks on mumble, and not playing the game.

Shouting allah akbar during a Taliban rush is good fun imo, and things like that wont be stopped, but when people decide to use mumble to be extremely offensive to each other, or to act like children, they will quickly find themselves banned. That kind of behaviour will hopefully be cleaned up in the next couple of weeks.

On another subject, we realise that there are some technical issues with the US server at the moment, with crashes and dropped players. We are working on this at the moment, and hope to have it fixed in the next day or two.

Just to add to what space just said, we have mumble admin rights now so we can mute/kick people on/off mumble if their acting like children or spamming.

Ejod tonight was epic. Me and Cool's Funvee ftw

Yea, 2 days ago I spend my gaming evening here. It was fun, but i absolutly HATE being called names trough mumble after I overrrun someone or kill someone. Dead man dont talk, and they certainly dont call me names! Be it just for the lols or not, I cant tell cause I cant see the persons face. So I take it serious. As it seems a lot of people in here take the game serious.

So! Good point on banning the guys and galls who are doing that :)

As always, the EU Reality Teamwork Server is now passworded for the weekend. The password shows up in the mumble log, as you enter our mumble channel.
