I sort of agree with it being OP, but helis get taken down by LMG's in like 5 seconds of continuous fire anyways. I think it would be good for a flare launcher to take up a weapon slot, and just make it not disrupt AA?
Anyways the one real problem I see is I swore flares went out the second they hit the ground...

they last about 30 seconds, but their burning magnesium...have you ever seen magnesium burn? lol go look for it on youtube, those things produce 1,5000 temperatures...theres not much that can stop them...maybe halon gas which takes away the oxygen

IMO i think helis dropping coloured smoke to mark positions is a great idea. But does that get used in real life?

Why not just use the CA flares? If i remember correctly those drop once at a time, look better and are more realistic.
