[0860] KORD and Type-85 HMG LOD Mistake?

I don't know if it's already fixed, but it's seen that nobody talked about it on this forum so... I'll try to explain it as best I can...

Yesterday, when I played an insurgency, I noticed that KORD's model mounted on technicals are far to be the same quality that the M2HB or the NSVT. So today I tried to investigate about it and I found out that there is actually a better model quality for the KORD and the Type-85. So, here the question, why made a more detailed model for currents weapons if it's not to be applied in-game? So, I THINK it's a mistake or something like that. Anyway here some screenshots for those who actually not understand what I talked about... (Sorry for the overuse of images)

As far as I know, the models/meshes PR uses for those 2 weapons are still the DICE versions?

Could be the LODs are not or were never implemented to begin with?

Either that or your ingame video settings need to be maxed to view the 'best' LOD model.

The best way to fix it would be to copy the LOD of the first slot to the second... But I pretty sure that someone better with 3D tools should do this is less time that me :razz:

I tried too with video setting maxed out and they still the same... It's why it should be done like the PR's M2HB and NSVT LODs...

If I have understood right the same problem in SAW gun in boats. Though these has been before .86

I've had my settings maxed out, so I've never noticed this. Odd.

interesting. It should be possible to force the gemo0 mesh on, dunno why it hasn't been done.

Is kind of funny.

Guess since we've only ever viewed the geom0 model in the 1st person, we missed out on actually seeing the rest of the model.

Would be nice to set them also as the geom1-lod0 model.

no the point of bob's post is that you are not ever seeing the geom0 mesh even when your manning the weapon when you really should be and also should be very possible to do, I did it with the QJC-88 so I dont see why it shouldn't be possible to do it for this or why it was not done.
