Core install won't start

I downloaded the core install thing, but when I try and run it, the window appears for a split second and then vanishes and doesn't seem to work. Is it because I'm not giving it enough time to load? It is very abnormal.

I'm running Windows Vista 32-bit

How did you install the whole thing? It has to be BF2 - patch 1.41 - core - levels.

Well, I got BF2 and since I can play online, I'm assuming that I have the version 1.41 already, but when I try to run the installer for the PR core, the window simply appears and vanishes seconds later, but still appears as an application in my task manager. I've tried just leaving it alone for like ten or twenty minutes but nothing has made a difference.

I really want to play, but if I can't even install it, that might be a problem.

Try to turn off User account control!! it worked for me
Go to your user accounts menu and disable UAC (user account control and then it should work)
