Not sure if this is the correct forum to put this in,
So, I was attempting to make a video with the PR A-10A, but when I went into BR to record my game, all the objects were sorta edgy, and glitchy with moving. I saw a video a prior to this, trying to get some inspiration, and I noticed some 3rd Person shots made with BR, and they were smooth.
<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BuCksyh7bIs&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BuCksyh7bIs&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>[/youtube]
Go to about 4:20, you'll see a F-16 line up, and you notice its moving nice and smooth, can anybody tell me if I can get it to work like that?
Oh yeah, I have the slightest belief that someone on this very forum made that video, if you're looking, its quite impressive.

I'm afraid that its not gonna happen.
I think if BR is on the max quality you still see some juttering.
The best way to avoid it is this-
Turn off nametags with renderer.drawtags 0 in the .con files if you want no name tags, then follow a target without changing your perspective view (i.e. only change the view when you are changing ur filming angle, dynamic views will not look good)
other way for slow moving objects - Move using the WASD and hold down the shift key, best not to move the mouse. Requires forthought.

Isn't there a program which allows for smoothness when moving... Battle director or something? Could be wrong though.

Enable frame blending in your editing software.

Battlerecorder also has "Quality" settings. If its very low it doesn't have so detailed movement information on the objects and players causing things to look like they're sliding or being very "edgy" like you said. Vehicles for example might look like they have no springs and they just "slide" trough waypoints like train on tracks.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll try turning off the nametags and changing BR's Quality settings.

Re: How to get objects in Battlerecorder to move smoothly
Thanks for complementing my awesomely smooth BR footage, and the whole thing in general.
Like others said I think it fits with the server settings. I didn't change anything, just filmed it. Sorry for the sound problems, that's partially my fault for not knowing which tracks are banned on Youtube, (because they don't really let you know anyway)
Xfire link for sound: Battlefield 2: PR0.8 CAS Montage-Cobra, Apache, F16 - Xfire Video
I was often accused for so much "Baserape" in the video I kind of let it sink and die, it's true, but the strikes were called in so it was helping out the team in a way
. I have another out now called Bolt from the Blue, not 3rd person shots, but better editing IMO (no baserape either
. Would really like to make another with 3rd person because 1st just gets boring and tasteless.
Wish BR had a rewind button
