BLACK SCREEN WHEN CRASH TO DESKTOP HELP!!!!

Ok so i downloaded and installed project reality mp core and levels and single player core and mappack 1. I got the desktop shortcut and i click on it:

then the screen goes black like it normally does right before the logos pop up like EA GAMES and stuff. But none of those logos pop up at all, and it just goes straight to my desktop. I have no idea why this happens, but its really really frustrating.

I know my pc can handle it because i play battlefield 2 fine without any problems but this just does not work. I am using Vista 32 bit.

Som1 plz help me get single player to work i really want to play this

first off, this seems like it belongs int the tech support section at least, probably in the single player section, not the bug report.
give us your specs mate, maybe we can find something there.

also, just because your pc can handle bf2, doesn't mean it can handle project reality.

yeah sorry i put it in the wrong place but i dont really know how to move it

anyways my specs are:

AMD Anthlon 64 x dual core processor 4400+ 2.31 ghz

32 bit operating system

2gb RAM

idk because i have no idea how to find that out i diddnt buy this pc my dad did so i know almost nothing about it but i know it caan run most games fine like bf2 cod2 and others with ok graphics. I saw the project reality graphics and i know i can run that

Go to Control Panel, System, Hardware tab, Device Manager button. Look under Display Adapters. It will tell you what video card you have.

That doesn't really explain the crash-to-desktop issue though; if BF2 starts up, I'd expect PR to start too. You might want to try running it as administrator.

what version of BF2 are you running? are you running 1.50? if so that might be your prob. Also when you installed it did you choose the correct folder? (should be the one where you find bf2.exe)

Out-of-the-box BF2 does the same thing for me. No updates, just gets a black screen when you start the game. Im going to try to install the 1.41 patch

the current project reality verision runs with the BF2 1.5 patch
