Im having a problem with reinstalling .86
My windows became corrupted and I lost everything interms of bf2/mods. After reinstalling bf2 and redownloading the .86 core and levels I attempted to reinstall it but it encounterd a problem, it isnt specific on the problem it just says "encounterd a problem". Ive attempted to just reinstall the mod a few times but it has the same problems and the mod wont start up. I have even attempted to download the framework by itself then install the mod but I get the same result. Any help I can get would really be great you guys

Hi Joker, are you saying you cant install the .NET package ? If your windows installation is corrupted you are going to have problems most likely as .NET installs at a fairly low level. Did you install a new clean OS on a newly formatted drive after your corruption ?

Yeah its the .NET package I cant download. I hadnt reinstalled anything after the corruption, Im not 100% on how to do that and Im not even sure how windows would have gotten corrupted in the first place

Try and follow the instructions here ---> How to manually remove and then reinstall the .NET Framework 2.0
This will uninstall your base 2.0 .NET installation (I am assuming here that you are on XP, if you are on Vista ignore this). You might want to uninstall any 3.5 residues that might have been left over from the Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs (it will be under microsoft .net )
start reinstalling the entire .NET tree
Start with 2.0 here --> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
The 3.0 here --> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
Then 3.5 here --> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
And finally the 3.5 sp1 which will update the service packs on all the others as well ... here ---> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
Its overkill , but it should sort any .NET problems you are having and are ever likely to have for sometime to come.
