ok hi guys i need a gpu and dont know what to get their are too many on the market and i havent really got enough experiance in what all the codes mean, ok so here is my requirements:-
needs to eat games alive with good fps (if not eat then chew)
be able to decode hd movies/blue rays so i can watch on my pc (essential)
wont fall behind and need replacing any time soon
MUST BE NVIDIA because ive been using nvidia all my life and us brits are like that well i am anyway lol
budget is around £0-180 max so what do you guys reccommend?
my pc specs are
Windows XP (waiting for windos 7 release)
AMD phenom ii 940 BE
M3n72d SLI Motherboard
4GB Kingston HyperX ram
OCZ gamxtreme 700W PSU
keep in mind i dont want to bottleneck anything so please help guys i aint really that experianced at the latest tech.

Both cards are HD ready, so thats not a problem (as long as your monitor supports). The 275 has higher clock speeds, so basically its down to your choice. I personally cant think of any "huge" difference between the 2 other than the clock speeds. And with the look on it, the 275 is further overclockable than the 260. Your call dude. The 2** series of NVidia cards are the best on the market atm. I think you'll get a similar performance out of either card.

Most important fact about any GPU is Streaming Processors, or, Processing Cores!!! The 260 is a great card and has 216 Processing Cores, but the 275 has 240 and only $20-40 more. Please buy EVGA if you plan to overclock, it will be covered under warranty if something goes wrong, and there forums are great for help. Remember to register your card!!!
