Just got kicked from your server for a locked squad. Well, you told me to unlock, I did, kick anyway. And I was driving an APC so no point of more squaddies without me having an officer kit. Not nice. :) But anyway good server.

You were kicked for high ping by the system and not for locked squad.

Glad you enjoyed our server, hope to see you again. :)

No, you were kicked for a locked squad:

Code: Select all

[2009-07-17 22:54:24]	Magrioteli	WARNING!!! legacy763 UNLOCK SQUAD OR GET KICKED
[2009-07-17 22:55:00]	Magrioteli	WARNING!!! -=TB=- Cpt.Kawakowitsch UNLOCK YOUR SQUAD OR GET KICKED!!!
[2009-07-17 22:56:01]	Magrioteli	KICKING!!! -=TB=- Cpt.Kawakowitsch LOCKED SQUAD
If you were kicked even if you had unlocked it, I did not see that. One can't see what is happening in the scoreboard whilst one using admin commandos. It locks the screen.
So I do apologize for that one. I would not have kicked you if I saw that you unlocked it. I do not kick for fun. I want players to play with us.

The thing was that it was too many squads that were locked and some were closed with only three – four people in. And that is no benefit for team play.

I hope that you will come back and play again, Cpt.Kawakowitsch.

Cheers,

Just played 3 rounds on this server and they were all terrible...

- Everyone was ignoring my requests/questions... (transport, enemy locations, ammo even medic requests)
- Nobody cared about hideouts on Fallujah. I was the only one building them, and nobody helped me shovel them
- Stealing cars was a common thing. my technical got stolen twice in the same round..
- Teamwork? What teamwork?

Maybe this was a one time only, but it wasn't very pleasant

That was sad to hear, NyteMyre.
However it is always up to the players to create a team work, we as GSP cannot do anything about. Unless we admins are in and sees what is going down. One shall remember that is a public server, and some players aren't so familiar to PR. It takes time to learn.

It happens from time to time that some players do not care at all about helping their team out. Almost a "vanilla syndrome". One cannot do more, than what you've done, call for attention.
I often go CMD when the team work is low - that often helps to improve the co-work.

I hope you will get back some other time.

Cheers,

Skyttegrav.se will sometime during the period between August 10 and 14 get new IP addresses on all our gaming servers. This is due to that we will move our physical rigs to another location.

With this post we will give you folks a heads up about what will happen. When the date is set for the move and which IP's will be on our three PR servers, we will of course announce that information a.s.a.p.

So, stayed tuned for more information.

Well, mine and my friends session on your server wasn't the best this night during Kashan:

We got accused of baseraping and nearly got our SL kicked/banned. He was spotting for our Havok from the G3KP2 area which is ~1000m from the US mainbase. I really don't understand this, but his purpose was to oversee North Village area.

Later my Havok got destroyed by just the end of our runway by an apache, but this isn't baserape unlike our SL spotting targets from 1000m away of the US main. Admins didn't comment anything about this.

Also soldier13*****(many numbers) deliberately shot our Havok down with the AA vehicle, but I saw him getting kick later on. You might want to consider a longer punishment

Please have clear guidelines for the admins with the rules to enforce and how to enforce them. If the head admin(s) want some names, pm me.

Soldier12369 is a griefer. He is banned from both our servers so i would recommend a global ban for him.

Hi Zi8.

First of all, I am sad to read that you have experienced that om our server. I know you play a lot with us too.

I got a PM from one of my admins 00:55 this night (local time) and that PM's subject was exactly what you mentioned about the Kashan map and the fact there was baserape ta no one took care off.

To be honest, I can't do anything about it today. Because it is done. But I can assure you that I have brought this issue up for discussion in the BF-admin section of Skyttegrav.se's forum today.
An admin's task is first to administrate, then play. That is the way I want to see it. However, an admin can't see everything that is happen on a server. He/she can be AFK at that moment or busy in war.
Moreover if one types something in the chat, to call for attention, that text vanishes in a jiffy. So it is not that easy every time.
I do not make excuses just telling you those facts.

It is needles to say that all base rapes are forbidden, till it is that flag's time to be attacked.
And a foe's vehicle close to an un-cap main does of course stir up that team's feelings. One can not tell if their purpose is spotting or killing.
When the Havoc was taken out, was the MEC main a fair target then or was it a safe zon?

Last, concerning other player on our server, I want to avoid that we talk behind their backs. That means we do not mention nicknames in this thread that we think shall be global banned and so on.
If there is a problem with a player, join our forum and contact an BF admin there.
Please respect the integrity of other people. Whether it is an on-line game, or not.

@ Zi8, I will get in touch with you in a PM when I know more.

I just left this server, some mins ago, come here to say that it was the worst experience I had on it, and that it could of have been avoided if some admins could of have been behaved better.

It was on Kashan, I created the helicopter squad, with the intention of getting the havoks later on (we were 4 on the squad, all with TS and experienced heli pilots), while the 20 mins passed we were on the flying cows, trans helis, that got shot down due to the enemy tanks driving freely without any worries. (our tanks squad got wiped out and our "snipertank" HAT squad was joking around on the hills)

Since the trans helis were down we kept waiting for the havoks, that spawned shortly after, we get one of the havoks but the other one is being "saved" by a player who said it was for the admins... Well... We were waiting 20 mins for the havoks, with a purpose built squad for it, there was no other kind of air squad, to get stolen by the admins? They say there is no rule about the Squad Assets, but the truth is that they send one pubbie to save the chopper for those 2 admins!! while we were right by it waiting for the chopper!...

This behaviour showed by the SG admins really was a deception... And I assure that neither of my clanmates will be joining this server for a long while...

What more can I say than; I am so sorry that you have had this experience.

I have asked to add you on XFire, because I want to talk with you.
Concerning that a transport helicopter from your team was shot out, has nothing to do with Skyttegrav.se, so please try to keep issues apart.

Regarding the heli-squad/Havoc issue, I want you on XFire. So please add me: magriotel1

Cant even understand why your complaining, they took "your" attack heli?...
Sure it's nice when you got a entire squad for the Havocs, and it's a bit mean that someone hold the havoc for someone else... but would you be this upset if it would be a random player?
For once a admin(or two) wanted too fly a havoc and it didn't take very long until they flew up in the sky after you did. So what's the problem really?

Cant even understand why you complain, the server is more or less "clean" from baserape and cheaters....
Sometimes ppl get missunderstood(like the one standing 1000 meter from enemy main in G3, kashan).... I think it was me that warned you, because you were pretty close too their main if you looked on the map. It's not entirely baserape but your like 2 hills away from their main shooting everything leaving and it can be easily missunderstood!

Why didn't you answer when the admin/i warned you? I was close kicking you since no answer + no movement, and since you dont react you think that the guy is baseraping!

A admin is supposed too put the gamers first then enjoy himself, but since were not robots it's kinda beliving a lie.
Im sorry that your experiance with the admins were bad, but 90% of the time the admins tries too do their best. We cant sit hours admin:ing the server, since it wouldn't be long until the admins would be bored and leave the server pretty fast. Then you wouldn't have any admins at all and you would have too be surrounded by baserapers and cheaters...Not fun then ey? ;)
Join another day and see what it's like, i promise your experiance will e diffrent!

I've accepted you on xfire Magrioteli.

Well I made that whole background story because you'r admin was accusing us of just camping the helipad without doing anyhting for 20 mins, wich we didnt... Anyways I'm not saying the Havok was MINE,just saying that it was a lack from fair play from the admins, who sent a pubbie to hold the havok for them... They didnt even bothered to ask us if they could do it... I'm not also saying that every SG admins are bad so dont take it that way.

Maybe it was bad luck, but maybe it also was bad behaviour from your admins... Should I say more or is it enough?

Not meaning to be rude at any way.

Regards, Silverlance.

Well Silverlance,

I looked through the whole Battlerecorder file from that map, and I've read the chat log as well.
Yes, there was one from the admin squad [SG] that "pinched" one of the Havocs and sort of made a reservation.
As said earlier, there is not any rule that if you name your squad "Heli" (or whatever one chooses to have) that gives you the right to fly (here, Havoc). The helicopter (or airplane) goes to those that first take it. And believe me there are very good pilots/gunners in [SG].

But! There is always a "but". When watching the Battlerecorder file I saw some "fooling around" and team killing by the *RR*-clan.
=The Game.P= got team killed by you in MEC main, and you TK’d him and once again.

More over when two guys from [SG] took the Havoc and lifted, =The Game.P= took a shot at it with the AA in main (the one closest to the hangars). Even if the AA missile do not lock on friendly's he hit it and it had to land and repair, smoking.
Image

So here is the deal. Do not complain about others when you and your clan are behaving badly.

Have a good time on the other servers that you choose to play on.

I am glad to hear that. However it is sad that it came after ranting Skyttegrav.se's admins. Self-perception is good, when it is "on time".

Nevertheless, our door is always open for players if they manage the ping limit (250 ms) and stick to the rules.

Thanks,
