Ok, first we do have barrels of ignitible fuel on a bunch of maps. Right now i cant remember exactly where on each map but they are there. im sure they are on Al Basrah in the city somwhere and Asad Khal and Quai river. again, i cant exactly remember where they are.
its not a big suggestion, its just in the interest of realism, i have taken the liberty of watch far too much mythbusters to know that when you shoot propane and gas and vessles of ignitable fuel they dont just pop and shoot up in the air. that effect is silly. the real effect is that it falls over and sprays fuel out the side and gets engulfed in flames that expand outwards up to 30ft and upwards about 40ft or more. this effect only lasts about 10 seconds then it burns itself out and the flame dies down to somwhere in the neighbourhood of 8-10ft.
i have two suggestions.
1/ Increase the radius on the explosion and create a fire death object to burn things in the area. Im thinking have it kill anything being engulfed up to 10ft outwards (5M give or take)
and seriously injure anyone up to 20-25-ft (10 -15M give or take)
(Remember two aspects of this, it aint silly. nowhere ever ever ever ever have i ever seen barrels shoot directly up into the air and dissappear out of existance with a tiny 10% damage effect on a person standing beside it. its retarded
Dont remove them they are too rare and nobody can remember where they are now anyway, so when they do eventually come accross them it will be interesting and not spam.
2/ The actual visual shader effect needs to go. Make a bigger one that is more flame than boom. remember its not a concussion device, its not a frag grenade. its like a static no team flamethrower that only lasts for a moment and then disapates. If you are going to make a shader it needs to be large and potant for all graphics settings.
