Installation problem.

Post by brorusher »

I have completely downloaded both files. The PR v0.86 CLIENT(CORE) and the PRv0.86 LEVELS(CORE). Now the problem is, when I attempt to run client setup it does not respond. I have redownloaded several times from multiple links. Does anybody else have this problem? Suggestions? ... I blame vista...

Probably will need to be in the R-TEC forums where they can offer more assistance, but also could do with some more info on your system. For example are you using Windows Vista? If you are then it takes a looooong time to respond, depending on system spec and usage it can take up to 10minutes to respond.

Edit: woops lol didn't see that you were using Vista... yeah that'll be it then. Start it up, go make yourself a cup of tea and a sandwich and it should have started when you get back.

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

yea i know this problem, everyime u open PR setup in vista(for me atleast) u open it and then wait for a while
.... a looong while, you should be able to see that thing in the mouse rolling indicating its loading something, when u see it dont touch anything, just wait till the setup asks for perimittion to start.

Well. I tried waiting. I ended up waiting for about 20 minutes until I decided to try something. I went and turned UAC off and rebooted. After about 5 minutes it popped up and installed. :D

Thank you for your help!
See you on the battlefield!
