classic.'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']Hey Gents,
Quick update... we've built the final PRMM 0.31 build and have released it to test (or should do shortly).
We're a bit delayed because I got drunk on Thursday night and was in no shape to make a build. I rushed through making it on Friday morning while hungover and late for work. And uh... surprise surprise hehe.. I screwed it up.
So I made another build this morning that has tested fine amongst the devs and testers should bang on it shortly.
So erm.. should be uh.. soon. This is the second test build in the 0.31 cycle, so the changes are really minor over the first build and should test fairly quickly.

When asking release dates, you will possibly be given 3 different answers (unless there has been a public announcement by the DEVs). They are as follows:
1. Soon
2. When its ready
3. We don't even know yet

3. We don't even know yet

Thnx for letting us know.'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']hehe .. we had a couple minor glitches in the 0.313 build, they are fixed, am uploading the 0.314 build now. We should be releasing that tomorrow after we do some basic validation to make sure it all works.

I know what you mean, but every single time I ask something of relitive importance I almost always get pounded by someone. I would like nothing better than for them to work on the mod and make it as good as possible for release. But the kind man Eggman is nice enough to give me a little insight in what ive been waiting for since 1.3 patch. So I am all for getting back in PR tommorow, if they have it done. If not I am prepared to wait longer for a quality release. This is the factor that the devlopers of BF2 lacked. The ability to say they have delayed. IMO, everytime I hear it I get more excited to hear about what they have in store for me, because I know its somthing they have fixed, or added. Really, to sum this up... PR thank you.

I agree with you Dylan.
I'm prepared to wait longer for a quality release too.

Dylan i don't argue whit you . Read -> Of agreement with you <- that all.
Why you are not happy about people agree whit you.
It's normal if you are not alone to think that. That all.
And it's ok.

Guys,
Regarding release dates etc, we don't provide release dates simply because we aren't a 'paid professional' team, and quality over release dates is paramount in getting a quality and robust build to you guys. The team is run in a professional manner, and I have no doubt that this is why we get builds to you earlier than what they could be
This is down to pure effort by the Dev team, and many put in longer hours here than they do in their rl jobs
We do try to ensure we get them to you as soon as we can. We don't say 'soon' etc just to annoy the userbase, it's because we can't demand that Devs do A, B or C by such a date, and therefore any long term deadlines can slip easily. We do have targets, and TRY to stick to them as best we can however.
We are a hobby mod team after all, and we are doing this out of a passion for making BF2 what we and you would like it to be, and for a few, experience in the entertainment industry to maybe move on to greater things. There's also the frustration of knowing a release is coming soon (there's that word again!) but not knowing when. Usuaully at this stage, the build/patch is with the testers. These guys work hard to ensure we can do everything possible to avoid giving you guys a 'below par' release, and a game you can enjoy. We don't really have a set testing period of say a few hours, like some large game developers. That's how major bugs slip through and spoil the game completely for most
I hope this clears a few things up to those who may think we are just being smart by saying 'soon'. We don't have a policy of SAY NOTHING, and we always strive to keep you guys informed of the facts. We do tend to steer clear of dates etc, as this avoids disappointment in the long run.

Gaz, the whole issue with release dates is a catch-22 deal for you devs.
It really doesn't matter what you do or say, there will always be people who complain that you didn't fulfil your part...
Me, I believe you are doing a great job and quality comes before quantity any day of the week.
The only releasedates we need are; "soon", "when it's done", "When Eggman stops drinking on thursdays" and so on.
Having said all this..... here it comes.... When are you gonna release the patch?
Just kidding!

as eggman has said, either today or tomorrow, PROVIDING there's no show stopping bugs, or if eggman was drinking again when he made this latest patch build
