Woot for Canadian Forces :) . Can't wait to see 0.9 im sure its going to be awesome with the new Canadian Force, new maps, vehicles ect..

Sorry, for v0.9, "only" IDF and Canada will be included. Future releases will be epic wins for the remaining community factions ;) .

I predict a higher turnout of Canucks in PR......maybe some good Canadian clans will result? Canadian Forces have BARELY made it into shooter games, BF1942 being one( I think my Grandfather may have actually been in Caen in 1944), so this is an awesome bit of news for me personally. Good show guys!

Im a huge fan of PR I have never played vanilla version bf2. I havent made a password or reg. login.
THis is exciting news and I am grateful for the dev's and artists who make these updates possible.
I know you all have lives and professions outside of PR. and its hard to find time. Just had to give you credit and your hard work is not for nothing you have a large fanbase and I just wanted say something to keep you guys motivated. Like all of us on here. not just me. keep up the outstanding work and make it the best you can. Dont rush it out just cuz people tell you. Just take it easy, keep focused and when you askyourselves what the hell am I doing? Just remember without you PR there wouldn't be the greatest pc game mod in the entire world.

Updates and new vehicles, bug-fixes, factions, ALL very welcome.
Indeed flowing updates are nice, but having all the updates arent bad either.

To give myself some credibility: veteran PR player since 0.6,
PR and the total war games are the only thing I ever play.

The point: We need more maps for PR, and/or more interesting layers of maps.
The rest is very gladly welcome, but if Rhino would make a map with the same quality of Muttrah (impossible, but hey, its worth a try?), new life will be boosted into PR :)

Mumble is great and renewing. BUT please, pretty please, give us more maps, and/or dramatically change the layers on the existing ones.

There is plenty of scope for this imo, surely the 128 layer is useable?

nope, hard coded :p

Only 16, 32 and 64 layers are possible, give a layer any other name and the game will refuse to run it. Last time I checked anyways.

Ok so just a small question - But is .87 being rolled into .9 and they will just be released as .9 later this year? Or is .87 going to stay an independent release and just waiting on the small little hotfix patch to be ready?

v0.87 will be released after BF2 v1.5 is released which will be "soon" according to EA, but it has been "soon" for almost a year now in typical EA fashion.

v0.87 is only designed to fix bugs caused by BF2 v1.5 so if they do not release BF2 v1.5 then there is no point in releasing it since it dont fix much else.

If BF2 v1.5 is released just before we release v0.9 then yes, v0.87 will most likley be scrapped.

v0.9 is looking very nice for maps :)

Check all the PR Highlights threads and dev blogs, plus a few more that not announced yet.
