Gameplay reasons? You mean dumb players thinking they're out of ammo, coming on here and posting about the new ammo bug where you only get one magazine per weapon? :P

yeah, i was participating with rhino as we tried to convinve him of it (shoutbox-dialogue ;) ).
still, i think it would be nice if everyone would be forced to reload their gun manually, though i wonder if you would have to do it with the medics shockpads too

you can set weapons to auto reload in the .tweak file. But you cant say for weapons to not auto reload as this is overwritten by the setting you have in your profiel. But if we found some way to force it, then we can set things like shockpaddels to auto reload.

I have it switched off and the shock paddles do already auto reload for whatever reason.

I dont see how it could cause 'gameplay' issues, but the only thing I could see it doing wrong is making people reach for the r key... Which is torture i guess.

I'd love to be forced to manual reload...

Ok this is just the plain fact you need to add this because it would add to the realism.

Yeah, I can't think of a single con to this. Forced manual reloadz ftw.

Yea sure why not, I don't see any detriments to this.

Granted it's arguable that a soldier in real life is trained well enough that one can instinctively swap mags the second an empty sounds, but at the same time some are just stunned.

Hell I can't even remember what my setting is on, but I shall follow C1 Bravo leader!

PS - I can't remember the last time I ran into a firefight ingame with a totally empty mag and didn't hit R the second nothing happened.

PPS - Wait, did you mean you can run into a battle with zero bullets in your mag, or when you unload and run out? Or both? If both, maybe make the auto-reload a couple of seconds longer than manual to give the sharper players a lil edge? If that even is an edge.

i honestly cant belive what a differnece it makes, i dont spray and pray but with out it on i often found my self with a empty chamber, it really makes you count how many bullets you have left.

maybe instead of it being removed completly you could disable by default(if its possible) it and if people want it back just go into options and turn it back on, to gauge the responce to it.
