[HELP] Making a Two seat Vehicle

Post by Scar »

Hi, i want to know how can i do to make a two (or more) seat armored vehicle...

I have an M113 vehicle already exported and usable in BF2, but now it uses just one player to move and shoot at the same time and i want it to make similar to PR (1 driver + 1 gunner) and if its possible some passangers.

I need some orientation with that..i do know how to use the bf2 editor but i prefer the old style with the notepad :)

if u could help i will thanks u a lot..

To Make it two seater, you have to add PlayerControlObjects (PCOs). Each of these PCOs represents a spot in the vehicle where the player can occupy. That is for adding passengers. For making it in BF2 so that the driver and gunner are seperate requires more work. It's a lengthy process of making the driver position just the driver and the gunner.

Is the vehicle intended for BF2 or PR? for BF2 it will take python coding and alot more to make it two player. Where as in PR, you just have to add the seats and such.

Since it is an M113, I suggest checking out the BMPs .tweak coding. that can be opened in Notepad if that is what you desire. Smart choice too ;) .

Ah no worries mate, Nothing wrong with questions.

To resize entry points, click on in the Right Bar/General (Sorry for if I don't get the Names proper) and "Draw Entry Points". Click on it and you should be able to select the black sphere. Now Look in the Hiearchy found in the Resources Bar when you are in Object Editor. There should be something that says entry point. Click on it and it will select one of the Spheres. From there open your tweaker bar and expand the camera Tab and you can adjust your radius from there.

Hope that helped. if not let me know and I'll go more into detail

Any chance of taking a look? I'm sure other factions would be grateful if they were allowed to use it cos it's quite a widely used APC.

If it's already set up as a single person tank, you can't change it in the editor. You'll have to open up the .con file and do it there.

You're gonna need to add a 'gunner' PCO, attach it to the driver, and move the turret so it's attached to the gunner instead of the driver. Then once you've done that you can use the editor to tweak it. I can talk you through it more if you want - feel free to get in touch if you need help.
