[Discussion] Razer Carcharias Comfort

Post by Tofurkeymeister »

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Razer Carcharias headset, and was very, pleased.

The only problem is that they are very uncomfortable on me, and tight around the temples. Once I put them on I can begin to feel the discomfort.

Is there something wrong with me :) ? These headphones are supposed to be some of the most comfortable cans ever. Why do they hurt my ears so?

P.S. This is coming from a previous owner of a logitech clearchat supra-aural headset

Umm...this headset is like wearing a freaking cloud. It's incredible. Play with the headset's length, insure that both left and right sliders are set to the same length (I frequently find I've accidentally extended just the left or right one) otherwise it will put to much pressure on one side.

Then there must be something wrong with me... hehe :P .

No matter what I do it feels like there is this clamp on my head, I think it has to do with my glasses :( .

I have the Razor Barracuda, I forget their on sometimes, except when a grenade lands near me or a tank drives near and it shakes my head. How long have you had them? Any chance you bought them at Newegg? Maybe you can exchange them???

PS... FAT HEAD!!! jk, lol... couldn't help it!

I have had them for around 2 weeks, and yes I did buy them from Newegg. Maybe they just need to break in, that's another idea.

P.S. No, my head ain't fat :P . On the contrary, its almost at the smallest length.

Just from the looks of them, they don't look like theres too much to break in. I know how frustrating it is to have headsets not fit right, I had the TRITTON headset here, which felt like a dream, untill you wore them for about 4 hrs, then they rub your eartips raw, no kiddin. RMA'd for the Barracuda, 6hrs of gaming, no probs at all.

I recently Bought and tested a pair of these (the Razer Carcharias), THE most comfortable pair I've owned. Although I ended up settling on some Tritton AX PC Pros (they rock!) I also tried the Plantronics 777 set, it was way too Hot on my ears, and i couldn't really wear them comfortably. Though they did have great Bass, though fake surround sound which really pissed me off.
