Hey Community
Im not on the forums often but iv had an idea, i hope its not a repost.
The combinations of Mumble and PR is a really awesome and brings to the new a whole new level of emerssion.
My idea is to have a lightly scripted event (scripted in the sense of roles and actors) if possible written by someone with extensive knowledge of a combat scenerio. The idea is to create a sitution in which players can feel as if they where playing through a scripted single player situation aka CoD style, but be surrounded by other players in a predictable scenario.
The only people with acess to the script will be the commanders, to the rest of the team, the whole thing could seem random.
Example: Map - Al Basrah
Mission one arrest insurgent leader help up in safe house and destroy scripted weapon piles.
The insurgency teams will take positions in set locations waiting for or unaware of a blue for operation. Bluefor will then advance as a large team in fairly scripted sequences the arrest could take place as a suprise or however the script details. We could use real world military tactics, a clearing and arrest team. other squads covering, a convoy to escort prisoner, even have civilians acting roles around the town or hav family members with the warlord during his arrest. Any detail could be changed even getting all insurgency to use weapons on fully auto as they are know to do.
The mission could then progress to destroy the caches or whatever the writer thinks is best.
This type of gameplay can also encourage players or "actors" to use similar tactics in public matches.
Please discuss, i would love to see this come alive, espeically using mumble.

Ye we had two of these nights, Mumble scenario night. Example was muttrah city, MEC has captured a pilot and brang him to the fortress, USMC go in and rescue him.

lol, yer i was suggesting maybe a fairly tight script, it would just be great to a team arresting an afgan warlord and extracting in apc under fire from insurgents.
ill check the event forum more often to see if anyones doing something like this

this would be cool if it was a scripted beginning, but the teams have to work towards the goal un-scripted.
Blackhawk down is an example, crash land a blackhawk in muttrah (or whatevermap) and the pilot and crew have to be extracted, If the pilot and squad are all killed, everyone loses. If the pilot is extracted than blufor wins, and if the pilot is taken prisoner for more than 30 mins than opfor wins

I think a VCP scenario at Al Basrah would be cool. Insurgent civilians drive their cars through, get inspected, and are made to show papers. SSM in some of the taxi skins from Karbala on some of the cars. If a bomb car (standard or IED rigged by a sapper) gets past the men at the VCP, blufor loses. There could be armor watching the other paths in to the entrance, as long as they aren't camping the entrance itself.
I believe it would be a nice change. Some insurgents would have to be legit, or else the blufor will be a lot more observant. Mumble would make easy communication possible between factions. I wish I had time to organize such an event.

I wonder what the blufor would say when they saw Big Red... Of course they would take it out, but then insurgents would attack from everywhere... Civilians would be crapping there pants trying to hide. And of course bomb cars would hurl towards the defenses. The Blufor would slowly lose and would have to be extracted out. If there was somehow no re spawning for blufor it would be amazing! (or at least no reinforcements) (ok maybe some, but assets don't respawn.
