Loading map, freezes at 19% - Sounds

Hey guys, been playing PR for awhile now, and just built a new computer.

Whenever I load a map, it freezes at 19%, while loading sounds. The game worked really well on my old computer, a crappy Dell =P.

My ingame settings are all to medium, with AA off. I have my regular desktop set at 1600x1200. And PR resolution set at 1024x768.

and my specs are:

AMD Phenom II x4
Nvidia geforce 8800gt
4gb RAM
Vista x64

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

open in windowed mode, shouyld give an error message:


right click your PR shortcut and edit the top lines to say

""C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 0 +modPath mods/pr +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

+fullscreen 0 is the part you need to set. Put it to "0" to have it run in windowed mode. Dont change the rest to match mine as it doesnt apply to you

But the +fullscreen 0 is what you want to change... should make it give you an error message. then post that up here

But I might have explained it wrong =P

When it gets to 19%, the PR icon is still swinging, like it's loading, but when i ctrl alt del to task manager, it's not responding. I've let it sit there before for about 10 minutes, but nothing happens.
Don't know if that changes anything, but I'll get back to you with that error in a second.

Couldn't seem to get an error message to pop up, ill try reinstalling it in the meantime.

Yeah, sounds like reinstalling should help... hopefully.

A friend of mine had a similar problem where it said the map versions were not correct and/or it didnt even INSTALL some of the maps. Just a corrupt download... so if reinstalling doesnt help, try redownloading the levels file from another server :\
