What is your OS ?

Did you install the full levels or the patch ?

I'm currently running Windows XP SP2.
I'm completely new to PR, so i downloaded the 0860 core, levels, and patch, and also installed them in that order.

Kind regards,

You will have to clean it off your drive and start again, but this time just install the core and levels and not the patch.

And what version of .NET do you have installed ? (look in add remove programs)

I would suggest updating to SP3 in order to fix any .NET problems you may have, if that indeed is the problem.

I currently have net framework 3.0 installed because, as mentioned above, im having a hard time downloading Net framework 3.5.

And i also have a hard time installing Sp3, because for some retarded reason, i chose Windows XP x64 pro edition.

Any chance you could gimme a link to that DL, ive been looking for bout 2 hours now, and cant seem to find it, its just for the home edition....
Hope you can help me out.

Kind regards,

These reasons will be why you are having problems. Also WinXP64 is known to have loads of problems with loads of software. I reformated and installed XP32 after a few days of x64 on there as hardly anything but office software worked.

Hmm, unless you format a new drive and create a primary partition I don't think you can put Vista on as a second boot OS ontop of XP ... you can do it the other way round though. I might be wrong tho.

I've tried your 'solution', and it's not playing.

I didn't have this problem when I had PR installed on my laptop, I've now bought a gaming PC, and it doesn't work.

Specs:
OS: Windows XPSP3 32bit
GPU: GeForee 7800GTX x2
CPU : AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core, 2.41GHz
RAM: 2GB

Do I need to install the patch, I didn't think this would be necessary, but I could be wrong.

Find out what is different in your laptop installation and you have your reason why it is not working on your gaming PC.

Sorry, I'm going to sound dumb. But how do you mean? I'm not sure if my brother uninstalled everything since I gave him the laptop.

I'll just uninstall, delete everything related to it, then restart.

That would help quite a bit ;)

It should however have given DirectoryNotFound errors.

Strange, I played this morning and had absolutely no problems, so I'm going to assume it's not going play up in the future :p
