Advanced SystemCare™ Free v3

Post by Rudd »

IObit SystemCare | Computer Scan, Protection & Repair | Powerful PC Maintenance

Free PC Repair, Protection & Clean Up | Advanced SystemCare Free Computer Scan, Optimizer, Maintenance

Game Booster | Faster Play, Free Download | Free Game Accelerator Download

I found this recommended on the twcenter.net forums, looks legit to me but I've seen a few fakeroos around over the last year.

Looks really good, what do the tech boys think?

IMHO...

Apps that advertise themselves as "free" system cleaners usually break your system beyond the problems you had in the first place.

NOTHING .. incase you missed that, NOTHING substitutes learning about cleaning/maintaining your computer yourself, rather than leaving it upto half assed programs to do it for you.

Why? well again.. IMHO everyone uses computers for different reasons and use different apps in different ways, this makes me conclude... how the hell can a generalised "system cleaner" ( or w/e its marketed as ) expect to be able to tidy up everyones computer?

They are like Windows restore.. good idea in theory, hardly EVER works in practice.

CCleaner is free and works wonders, you'll find that a lot of freeware is better than stuff that is sold, as the guys developing it are more inclined to make it less buggy as they are doing it to get work/noticed as a pose to a job.

That game booster is actually good for people with lower end systems, havent tried the others.

All that game booster does is turn off system services that are never going to be needed when in game, plus you can tweek what it does and doesnt turn off.

I am inclined to agree.

Also agree 100%

However some tools are indispensable in tracking down malware etc

Spybot, CCleaner and Hijack This for example.

But these ones that advertise to automatically sort your system out and speed it up beyond recognition are selling water by the river and it usually turns out to be a crock of **** at the end of a never ending rainbow.

if you want to learn about system maintenance from the feet of Gurus ... get yourself over to one of these sites ...

Yer, as twisted said, repair programs are usually bogus, but that game booster one is actually tried and tested by me on a few of my own and friends machines, and it works a charm, but ive never went near PC repair tools, they always spelt malware to me. ;)

Yeah, I never touch them usually. But Since so many had said they had positive experiences with this particular group of freware programs, I was intrigued

I used it for a while and it works like a charm bro , it aint bogus and trust me when i tell you it does the job !
the only reason why i stopped using it is because i bought a software called Auslogics BoostSpeed and that package has everything and it made my laptop alot faster especially on bootup ..

Free programs don't break your PC.

HWmonitor
CCleaner
Spybot search and destroy
Hijackthis.

Of course there will always be **** software that does mess things up but not all free things are bad.
