Hearing the changing of gears from anywhere on the map....
I constantly hear the switching of gears (I think only from the insurgents vehicles). Basically the whole game ill hear a clunking sound of the vehicle switching gears no matter where they are on the map, I dont think it happens with non insurgents vehicles cause I dont know if i notice it on AAS maps...
Anyone else??

Scary, never know to hit the deck or keep going.
Also on Quinling I hear the rapids as if I was right on them from every part of the map.

Been getting all kinds of sounds, with a range of drivers. Scary stuff.
Still, it's worth it
I only get the sounds once in a while tho, never repeating themselves over and over.

just turn off XFI, it sucks. Usually you can do it in the sound options from the dropdown box at the top in BF2. select hardware or software if you havnt tried it allready.

Nah I'd also suggest dropping it down to just "High" without Xfi. I realize you guys did pay a premium for the Xfi based cards but to be honest, that sort of thing is hurting your gameplay more than helping it, and do you have the $200 set of headphones that will make the difference between the two modes? (Having spent the money on the xfi sound card, you might very well have that headset...)
