"There is problem with your connection"
Hi,
I have read allot of forums and view about this but haven't found a solutoion that works for me. I am running a more than capapble PC on XP I have installed PR correctly, the problem occour when I attempt to join a server. It loads the map and I can join the game but almost immidiatley it says "There is problem with your connection", I have attempted the Esc 'trick' but that did not work I also ended a process called "Wmiprsve.exe" which was in anouther thread but that also faild. What I also dont get is how I am able to go onto the Training servers with no problems but then to have the connection problems on ranked servers. I have PB updated so could someone kindly inform me as to how to fix this problem. Sorry for the bad spelling.
Thanks

When asking for help,
please remember to post your:
Operating System (OS)
systems specs (MoBo, GFX, Audio, generally hardware),
network setup (router-model, direct connection, DSL, 36k-modem, how many clients)
And a brief history before and after problem started. (Did you change anything? new drivers, new Anti-Vir...)
Please describe as precise as possible when your problem hits and
what you have already tried.
does regular bf2 work?
does it occur randomly or all the time, so you can never play?
have you tried disabling your firewall, anti-virus softare and put the pc into the router's DMZ for testing purposes?
can you start and play on a local training server?

Most of the superscope games want you to press pause in order to start the game but I cant get past this message. I assume pause is normally bound to the same key as start but Ive hit every button on the wiimote / nunchuck without success. Is there something Im missing?
Thanks.
Thanks.

what are you talking about?
hijacking threads is not a nice way of adressing your problem open up a thread urself, be more descriptive and of all stick to the context of the forum, are you even talking about BF2/PR?
if you are trying to get your WiiMote to work with your pc you should seek help here: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f329-h ... tom-builds for it is more likely to adress the right people

Re: "There is problem with your connection"
A few things to try and keep in mind.
The most common cause of connection to server issues seems to be caused by punk buster and/or firewall issues.
Remember it is recommended that you restart your system after you install/uninstall
programs to ensure all installed components, files and registry entries are correctly installed or removed.
So it is key you restart after using pbsvc uninstall.
Some routers with 'packet inspection' turned on can also trigger a disconnect when game
data or voip traffic triggers a false "ping flood"attack and the router shuts down
needed ports to protect your network.
So try turning packet inspection off to see if that helps.
If you have a busy network you can also get dropped if your packets are consistently
getting delayed due to high traffic.( your ping jumps way up from time to time)
If your running Xp you can tune up your internet connection with [url=http://www.
speedguide.net/files/TCPOptimizer.exe]TCP Optimizer[/url] to maximize throughput.
Check out speed guides web site.
TCP/IP Analyzer results will show if you can improve throughput.
Having a router like D-links gamers lounge, that can prioritize traffic( they call it
GameFuel), can make a night and day difference.
This GameFuel improves your online gaming experience by ensuring that your game traffic
is prioritized over other network traffic, such as FTP or Web. This is of course much more
helpful on networks with more than one user, but if you like to download bit torrent or
other large files in the background while gaming you'll be glad you have one that can prioritize or 'shape' traffic.
So the question is where is the bottle neck? Is it inside the network (your PC to your router) or outside (modem to game server)
Inside a better router should help.
Outside improved throughput should help
Good luck
Check Punkbuster service can auto 'restart'

Select Punkbuster B, right click, select properties, select the recovery tab and make sure they all say "Restart the service" for all three dropdowns. You can do the same for PB A, but generally speaking, it's the B client that stops responding. Any time you update PB, you may need to re-do this step.

I have always had a few problems with punkbuster so I always download the updatr and do it manually. I tried to play BF2 and it worked fine, I don't know if it was a local server but I was able to play on a training map but not any more I think it was the 2nd or 3rd attempt it stopped. The connection error happens everytime meaning I am unable to play the game. If you need more information to help me resolve the problem please ask, thanks for helping me much apreciated.

Re: "There is problem with your connection"
"Primary VRAM: 256 MB" is low. Adj video settings down to low, them adj up till you find your 'sweet' spot.
Check out tweakguides to find out how to get the most out of what you have.
I'm guessing the video card is your bottleneck slowing down everything else.
To free up more ram:
Download and try using AMD fusion before running PR.
Here are just a few from the red sticky "Connection Problem Troubleshooting"
I suggest reading through all the posts there if these two don't work.

Try opening upp the taskmanager after you have started the game and logged in to your account.
Then select the Bf2 and its related Prossesses (e500 and pr) and set theyr afinity to just Cpu0.
This solved my connection problems completely!

Re: "There is problem with your connection"
Try disabling VOIP from Audio options. If this solves your problem it means you have a router problem. I had the same thing, i tried to open necessary ports but no luck. Since VOIP is essential for this game i disabled router's firewall and have been using that way for 6 months now.

Re: "There is problem with your connection"
Hi..... Have spent several weeks now getting booted "there is a problem with your connection"... reinstalled XP , updated drivers, etc etc etc... followed all the advice on these forums. I had given up on BF2.
Then I changed my ISP...... For a whole range of reasons..... but now with my new ISP, BF2 and PR work great (better than ever before).....
FYI .... I was with Virgin Media
(****) now with a slightly more expensive ISP (not telling you, keeping it for myself).
I had read lots of rumors about cheap ISPs sending traffic from UK to USA and back using cheap servers state side (NTL?), and couldnt believe that it was true..... but guess what..... I changed out of Virgin and now everything EVERYTHING is great.
Happy again
