BF2 booster packs stuff in PR...
I know that there are many stuff and assests from the BF2 expansion pack and the booster packs already in PR, but many are not allowed to be used due corporights rules. But now with the new BF2 patch comming, the booster packs are going to be totally integred with the BF2 software. With that, is there anything wich was not able to be used by the PR team will be free to use in the mod ?
I made a quick search at the PR offical annuncement about the BF2 1.5 and PR (https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f380-p ... patch.html) but Gaz just said about the compability between the new patch and the actual PR version.
So, I'm just curious what can DEVs use for PR from the BF2 booster packs.

Isn't the Big Red model partly from Armored Fury? And the MEC scout helicopter?

most of the BF2 EF and AF stuff is really, really ****. Epically there statics without even considering the bit we dont have there LM samples. Any good stuff in there we are already using.

IMO only Special Forces is worth looking at, as it has statics with interior.

I think the zip line would fall under the Special Forces kit argument.
I do agree with the night maps however and I believe there are multiple maps being worked on.

Another thing about the Zip-Line, is it just my computer, or does it not have sound when you fire it?

It does have a sound, at least in PRSP and sandbox. Don't have special forces, but I'm sure it does have one there, too.

Thats a bit odd, EA/Dice must have changed tack since Bf1942 came out. As the XwwII mod used a couple of models from the Road to Rome pack and got bitchslapped into removing them (the Mossi and the Grant iirc). Seems very odd tbh.

I wonder if any of this content could have any place in PR?

Speaking of Special Forces expansion. That zipline was fantastic fun. If there ever is going to be a Special Forces kit in PR at anytime. I vote the zipeline gets added to the kit. I mean all sorts of Special Forces are in current Iraq/Afghanistan combat. Wouldn't be un-realistic to add despite earlier tries which was removed for some reason. Probally because the kit was just too good for it's own good.

Re: BF2 booster packs stuff in PR...
we already have most of the packs vehicles, but better
we have most of the booster pack vehicles like littlebird or challenger but better
we have grappling hook from SF and we had flashbangs from SF and nightvision is possible
and i really doubt that millitary units use ziplines, i never saw soldiers or spec ops using ziplines, grappling hook yes.
btw if PR are allowed to use SF stuff, why they dont make special forces maps, upgrade the current specops (seals, sas) and their weapons and vehicles and use them for some maps
and give the gas and flashbangs
