GPU upgrade

Post by AirborneForever »

I currently have 2 GeForce 7800 GTX's, and well. Operation flashpoint 2 is due out soon, and my GPU's not strong enough.

I want something nice and powerful, but not too expensive or too cheap.

What price range is the thing you mentioned above? Any preferences of manufacturer? (ATi or nVidia)

Wait for a month or so, DX11 offerings (ATI's HD58xx series) will be out, and even if you're not interested in them, they will push other prices down.

2x GTX 260 55nm are pretty cheap. I've seen them for $169 in Canada. Mind you there was a $30 MIR with EVGA.

Also since you are running sli now. Just makes sense. Even 2 GTS250 sli is pretty decent.

What res you running now.
