Special Forces... Why don't all the people who want them just start a community project? Worked for so many factions already. Including non "grunt" stuff like the Private Security Contractor faction.

Forgotten Hope 2 used a heightmap of one of the boosterpack maps for their "Operation Totalize". But I'm afraid those maps would be way to small for PR.

The only thing that interests me is the possibility of improving night maps for PR.

Well the gas might not be bad either, I loved putting out some gas and then charging in with impunity. Altho I don't know how realistic that is..

we have most of the booster pack vehicles like littlebird or challenger but better
we have grappling hook from SF and we had flashbangs from SF and nightvision is possible

and i really doubt that millitary units use ziplines, i never saw soldiers or spec ops using ziplines, grappling hook yes.

btw if PR are allowed to use SF stuff, why they dont make special forces maps, upgrade the current specops (seals,sas) and their weapons and vehicles and use them for some maps
and give the gas and flashbangs
really? i'd like to see proof...cuz i highly doubt it.

alot of people say its just a metaphor for getting ontop of all the roofs in game...well ill tell you 1 thing is that if i wanted to i couldnt get on top of my apartment that im in right now....and i've been in alot of buildings in iraq that didnt have roof access but, all i ever see is the grapple hook being used in completly unrealistic ways in game.....but what do i know right....

so now i think...why not add the zipline.....im sure we could find some metaphoricly realistic purpose for it....right???????????

SF won't be thrown in probably. I guess that sold and possibly still sells a lot better than those other booster packs that noone really cared about.

So those of us who bought AF and Euro force get screwed by EA out of our money that we paid ages ago

That happens with every single game. They always get cheaper, and eventually are given away for free many times. It just happened faster with those add ons because, I assume, they didn't sell well.

I don't understand this argument.

Lets assume a player pays retail here in the U.S. at the time BF2 and its expansion were released.
BF2= $50
SF = $20
EF = $10
AF = $10

You are talking $90 at most, although most have probably payed less (unless you have purchased multiple copies like I have). Now divide that by the number of hours played and you really have a bargain on your hands.

For example... $90 divided by say 2,000 hours = 0.045/hour. I say we got it good compared to someone who has to pay a subscription.

BF2= $50
zomg, i bought BF2 for ~10$ somewhere in the beginning of 2007, for 2000 hours - 0.005$/h
thats a good deal(/me thinks about how much my friend payed for WoW for last 2 or 3 years lol)

SF still sells, most people who get BF2 seem to get it unless they specifically want it just for competitive play or mods. EF and AF however sold ****, I got them with the complete edition and there were normally about 3 or 4 servers with a decent number of people.

the booster packs(AF/EF) are useless, cause most mods like AIX have some of their content, e.g AIX have UN that is similar to euro force etc..
