Euro Force = Eurodollars!

Post by 0mikr0n »

Simple, followable suggestion:

Don't follow what EA did with their "European Union", please. The European Union program was founded to make Eurodollars a international European currency. DICE, being in a European country, should have caught that. I think they've got mental problems, but...

If you plan to incorperate that, please don't name it EU, heh... out of all EA / DICE screwups, I think this is the worst out of all of them.

Well actually the european union wasn't founded to create "eurodollars", which we call euro's.
The "European Community" (at first called European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC))was created after WWII to strengthen bonds between western European countries (to avoid more wars on the European continent) and create equality between them. With the Treaty of Maastricht in 1992, the Community institutions were strengthened and given broader responsibilities, and the European Union (EU) as such was born.
The EU is a single market (open borders, like the US) but not all countries in the EU have adopted the euro, for instance the United Kingdom.
The countries that use the euro are united in the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU).
There is no real life "Euroforce" and NATO includes the US and Canada (I think).

well, there is some kind of it. it´s called the "eu battlegroup" and is ordered by the european union (if i´m not mistaken), atm it consists of 3 german bataillons and a french leading staff (again, i´m not 100% shure of this).
but it really is more of a theoretical force

i read these a long time ago and am fuzzy on the details, but it has somthing to do with operating outside of the US led NATO

Meaning, NATO is not specifically laid out to fight wars, only help fight them.
