1 shot 1 kill

Post by Annihilator »

ok this is a realism mod for bf1942, so tanks should have 1 shot 1 kill like in DCX, it is soo much fun, in BF2 the tank stay there and shoot at each other for minute, now that is booring, u want to get your kill right away. Same with the guns, guns should be 2 or 3 shots to kill a person.
Prepare your self for the new Reality!

Unless in the arm....or leg...in some spots, and the tanks should use either, FRAG or HEAT and a SABOT round.

K it should be click boom insta kill all the time, that is in no way fun and would destroy gameplay. Tanks should have special hitboxes on special places such as treads, engine/exhuast covers covers(an abrams was taken out in GW2 with an RPG-7 to the exhaust cover) and the top and bottom(sometimes they get exposed when a tank is going over a hill) of the tank.

First post says its a realism mod for bf1942.

As long as there is a heavy penalty for angle as in real life. It should all be pretty ok as tank damage goes if at aright angle its 1 hit kill from anywhere.

Simply because the front is sloped even if there is a one hit kill it will automatically make it take less because its at an angle...just like in real life...

^^Actually you brough up a really good point there. Could it be possible to have different damage given the angle that the projectile hits the front armor or anywhere else on a tank. It would be cool to have glancing shots off of front armor. Just read the Tom Clancy book Armored Cav.

You do know bf1942 changed the adamage output after checkcing the angle the projectile hit right :p

Only sides that may need ot be adjusted is maybe like a 15% armour boost to front and 30% less on back. The rear panel is flat so you will get maximum damage into it anyway so it doesnt need to be tooooo weak. And the front is sloped so upping the armour on it will make it almost pointless to shoot a tank on the front at all.
