Hi i am new to project reality and have downloaded all of the stuff required to play the game.. okay i load up PR and find a training server, i join this server and it loads then when it gets to the end of the loading and you can join game it just goes to a black screen.. i try joining through the black screen and i can hear some stuff going on but i just cant see it.. I then have to ctrl+alt+del to get out of the game, once back at the desktop my display settings are on 800x600 which is not what i normally have on.. i then click on the shortcut and it does the battlefield load screen and then goes black for 3 seconds before returning me to desktop, i have to reset my computer in order to be able to load and try again.. i have battlefield 2 and it works fine.. i put my video settings on low and still the problem persists.. i have a radeon 9250 agp gfx card wich works fine on normal battlefield 2. This is really annoying as i am new to the game and was really excited to play. and help will be greatly appreciated thanks.
I also have a 26" computer screen i used to have a 19" and the graphics card was good for that but as we got the 26" my graphics decreased a little in game i noticed things wernt as sharp.
Now a ATI Radeon 9250 agp 256mb graphics card is not that good and i cannot run all the settings in high.
I think it is the graphics card causing this problem so can anyone clarify that the 9250 is not good enough for project reality that way at least i no what the problem is..

Re: HELP!
that is because you were still using the old resolution. to receive maximum quality you should set your desktop and ingame resolution to the native resolution (max resolution) of your monitorin game i noticed things wernt as sharp
if you have got a new monitor the frequency might still be set to that of the old one and your new monitor is incompatible with that one (esp. when changing from a CRT [usually 60 to 120Hz] to an LCD/TFT [usually 60 to 75Hz] monitor)
in "My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\000x" is a file named "Video.con"
it could look something like this:
you should change the red marked frequency to what the monitor supports (consult manual) for example 60Hz is supported by all regular monitors afaik:Video.con wrote:VideoSettings.setTerrainQuality 2
VideoSettings.setGeometryQuality 2
VideoSettings.setLightingQuality 2
VideoSettings.setDynamicLightingQuality 2
VideoSettings.setDynamicShadowsQuality 2
VideoSettings.setEffectsQuality 2
VideoSettings.setTextureQuality 3
VideoSettings.setTextureFilteringQuality 2
VideoSettings.setResolution 800x600@85Hz
VideoSettings.setAntialiasing Off
VideoSettings.setViewDistanceScale 0.9
VideoSettings.setVideoOptionScheme 1
new Video.con wrote:VideoSettings.setResolution 800x600@60Hz
