How the hell do I use the UAV?
EDIT: Nvm, figured it out.
Other question --- is there a way to slow down or stop the UAV movement? Also, anyway to see where I am on the map? It's a pain in the noctum sometimes deciphering where you're flying above which makes it difficult to relay intel to squads.

Re: How the hell do I use the UAV?
The manual seems to not explain it correctly.
You jump in the command post, then press left mouse button to "fire" the UAV. Then you guide the UAV by clicking in different directions. You can then press caps lock (default) to open up your commander view and place markers, see the squads, etc. Press caps lock again to return to your UAV. The uav will fly for 10min max then be down for 10 min, then you can fire it again for another 10 min, etc. Be careful not to crash it into tall mountains
You can zoom in on the minimap in the top right hand corner by pressing N (default). This can help to pinpoint your position. Remember that the camera is at an angle, and not directly top down. You cannot slow it down or stop the UAV.

So is there any way to see where the UAV is at on the map?
Is it actually visible in game? Can the insurgents shoot it down?

What about my first question? How do you tell what where you are on the map (other than trying to figure it out by looking at buildings etc. which can be difficult.

You can also open up the "Q" commo rose in flight and press "Contact" which makes a red question mark on the map that you can then go into your commander screen and set a marker there. You can also spam "Requesting Ammunition".NoxNoctum wrote:What about my first question? Re: How the hell do I use the UAV?
I have some other comm related questions, How do I see if the Area attack is avaible or not? Many times when the progress bar is full, Ill accept attacks, but nothing happens.
Also, often the commanders map will fall out, even though I am inside the commanders RV! Whats up with that?
I love the new UAV and informant system, though a UAV with a controllable viewpoint like apache gunner would be better(if possible within engine).

Would be great if camera of UAV would turn more... more realistic also and should not be so hard to make.

I mean imo its kind of crazy that the commander cant see his own uav on the map. And he also cant see in witch direction he is looking/flying.
Its not that cool uav i thought it would be.

Outlawz: That will just turn the flightpath of the UAV, not the camera individually.
Not being an Air force expert, I dont know if there are UAVs with fixed cameras in present service anywhere. But I would think that a flexible camera as seen on this Predator would be the norm.
