I just read this over at the BI forums from StalkerGB:

So what it all boiled down to was PR giving me permission to use their work in ARMA 2 (so planes, tanks, helicopters, weapons and so on...) which is good news for you lot cause you'll get lots more stuff to play with!

As essentially I work for PR now, the mods i create will come under the PR banner, all that really means is that the PR name will be here and there alot more so don't worry if you think things will be changing, as always my focus will be on the infantry but hopefully armour will be working properly in game too!

Anyway I'll keep everyone updated on my progress on these forums but it might also be worth your while checking the PR forums from time to time.

so pr models can be used in arma2 as well?

maybe thats a dumb question but i dont know anything about modelling.

i think you can use any model in any game...you just got to import them, models are made with 3rd party programs not specific to any game

wouldnt the pr models look **** in arma2?! no offence to the modellers, they've done great with what theyve had available to them, but i cant imagine low poly vehicles looking any good in ArmA2

Compared to the standard of most of the British addons for ArmA (most of which are relics from UKF's OFP Addons) they'll be a big improvement, besides bloom will hide the imperfections :-D

So, will this project be given its own forum section here? Do all of the devs here officially support this project? How many people have contributed to this? Does this project have its own dedicated website?

Didn't know PR's content which exceeds BF2 content in poly count counts as low poly for ArmA2. :rolleyes: What do they have 30k poly guns in there or something?

Also you got the screenshots up there and the PR's "low poly" L85 doesn't look **** to me at all.

Well, PR does have some pretty low poly vehicles that would look strange in Arma IMO. Those inf shots look great though.

I thought there was already a mod for arma2 that was made in the spirit of pr. i cant remember what it was called, but it has all the same features like AAS3 mode etc.

Your talking about the MP mission called devastation

and there was an insurgency mission in arma2 that was strongly inspired by pr's insurgency but i cant remember the name.


IMO they were he best MP mission of all, All the pr's gameplay with the Arma's realism and engine.

I haven't seen a Arma 2 version, but heres the Armed Assault+ACE+opx one:

But note, its a coop, the insurgent faction is controlled by AIs.

Problem is not weapons. Problem is everything bigger like lets say tanks.. apc's. Tho some visual things can be blurred away with bloom and reflections what arma2 has.
