new flight controls for 0.87 ?
patched up and ready to go, so i hit a training server to check out the changes and for some unkown reason i couldn't taxi.
the trigger works the rudder works but not pitch up down, and bank left right. i checked the options and all are still set, i re did my settings to confirm the actions i wanted from the input every thing went ok.
back into a heli and still no control apart from guns and rudder L / R and throttle.
joy works fine on other games so it's not the stick.
i'm not the best flyer and not a prlific pilot and would step down for some one np but i can fill the role when needed (transport ect) and miss close wingman flying on the training servers
any advice would be helpfull thank you.

Re: new flight controls for 0.87 ?
nope
i've deleted and reapplied the control settings, i've changed them back to "factory settings" so to speak and then reapplied the joy controls. the input is fine and is recognised on the options menu but in game still no taxi control and still can't climb at the end of the runway. i set it to mouse function tested in game all was fine went back to options and set the joy, back in game no go.
oh well i guess it's a good job i like walking.
thaks for the help i will keep trying different methods until i crack it.

Strange it fixed my issue, did you try deleting the battlefield 2 folder from the My Documents folder?
This deletes all your bf2 settings and local account info and cache files.

Re: new flight controls for 0.87 ?
Had the same problem.
Dont detele any files.
There are different "spots" where you can enter your joystick axes. Primary and secondary slots.
First delete all slots for X/Y/Z movements and then place the joystick in the primary slots. Do it like this:
Bank Right - *push right*
Bank Left - *push left* Error pops up "Duplicate key found" (this is good!)
Do the same stuff for all the controls. It takes some time but it helped me. I tried it on dragon valley.
Now everything is fine again.
You can of course set the arroy keys for the secondary slots.
BTW: I've heard is the new falcon controller which fvcks up the controls & we need to reset them.

Yeah, just dont reset them to factory/delete any files, its not cool to find all sensitivity etc. again. Really annoying. So I tried everything else.
btw: To delete a key left click on it and press ESC.

Re: new flight controls for 0.87 ?
Hmm, I had this problem too.
None of the above helped me though,
but I figured out that if I had the joystick Y and X axes in the primary slots of the control options and the arrow keys in the secondary then the joystick wouldn't work.
If I removed the arrow keys binds and left the secondary empty the joystick would work and finally, If I had the arrow keys in the primary binds and the joystick axes in the secondary everything worked
in short: try setting up the mouse or arrow keys (which ever you prefer) in the primary slots and the joystick in the secondary, doing the opposite caused my joystick to not respond.
This most probably has something to do with that falcon control thingy.
