Level Installer will not install

I just re-did my computer with windows 7, upgrading from windows vista, after getting the basics of the pc set up, i installed BF2, bf2 runs fine with no problems, so then i went to install PR core, it installed and it runs when i click the shortcut on the desktop, however, when i install the levels portion, it states that i need pr core downloaded and installed first, it then kicks me off the installer. i re-checked the folder its installing to, and it is in fact to the PR level folder, and i even re-downloaded both installers from a different site, re-did the process but had the same outcome.


any help with this one?

Both installers by default should point to the main BF2 folder. The installers will put the files in the right places within it.

well, i realize that it should, but everytime i run the level installer, it says i need to load the core first, even tho its installed, and the game runs, its like, PR works, just i dont have any levels on my hard drive

check that you did not mix up versions of levels and core

that is - did you download core 0.85 and levels 0.86?
that would mean your core installer is outdated - this is just a guess for i do not know wether levels installer would recognize older versions of core or not

well i did downloaded .86 both times i downloaded it, i downloaded core and levels twice each, neither one would work.

well, i fixed the problem, i just re-formated my hard drive and started off with a clean install of windows 7

i have the same problem. Can't install the levels part. It's a clean install of BF2 on Windows 7 with patch 1.41 and then 1.5. PR is running fine.

Can i copy the levels to my BF/PR installation manually? If yes, where exactly?

EDIT: reinstalled the core, tried the level installer again and it worked
