Re: Alt+tab 1.5 hotfix
It allows you to alt tab in and out of game, which for people using in-game Anti-aliasing, meant their BF2 crashed with the new 1.5 patch.

Re: Alt+tab 1.5 hotfix
got kicked for mismatch, hopefully evenbalance will sort that out soon. Dice have redeemed themselves.
On an unrelated note, since the 1.5, 0.87 patches I've been having an intermittant stuttering as I play the game, nothing game breaking but it's a little annoying.

Re: Alt+tab 1.5 hotfix
Well, its mostly a particular issue (md5 kick) on PR servers, because its up to admins to set hash checks for some optional game files and PR admins seem to be pretty much hardcore with it. Apparently, you wont get this error in vanilla, due to more lossy control.

This fix seems to remove widescreen support, as my vision was stretched horizontally a great deal while I used it.

Quote:
* Download the attached file
* Extract it into your Battlefield 2 install directory (you must have v1.50 installed already)
* When prompted accept that you want to over write the existing file
* In My Documents go to Battlefield 2\mods\bf2 and delete the cache directory
* Run BF2 as normal
We are also working on a full installer which will be the 2Gb file for those who are new to Battlefield 2 v1.50. This will replace existing files once ready and I will post here when that is released. In the mean time use the 1.50 patch install and replace RendDX9.dll with the file you can download here:

The md5 of the zip file is: 7a2b2476b5e23332da260481c1930191

Re: Alt+tab 1.5 hotfix
Guys: You can completely avoid the MD5 kicks.
It's really simple. Just follow steps 2, 4, and 5 from my guide here: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... 9-dll.html. When the server runs an MD5 check, all it does is go to your Battlefield 2 directory and scan the actual RendDX9.dll file; it doesn't scan memory or anything like that. If you run the bat to start off of the fixed dll, then before you join a server, run the bat to go "back" to the official dll, your game will send the correct MD5 to the server.
You will only have to do the bat files for a few days anyway; they will have the new md5sum up soon.
I just tested the FOV and screen ratio. There are no differences between 1.5's and the hotfix.
