Is it my .exe?
I was playing BF2 1.5 a few days ago. It worked flawlessly. I just installed pr v0.87 today, and not so much. Every time I click on the .exe it just completely fails, and windows tells me that "pr.exe" has stopped working. It has never done this before, and just started right after I installed 0.87. It won't even let me get to the main menu, it just instantly fails. I searched the forums for other people with this problem, and couldn't really find anything. Sorry if I am repeating this thread, but I just can't figure out what to do. (No barrel rolls)

Re: Is it my .exe?
I'd suggest renaming existing pr folder, backup shortcuts, delete them, empty Cache in "OwnData/BF2/mods" and install full core and levels...yes sure a bit work, but
and if it's working you'll delete the old renamed folder and shortcut backups...

Re: Is it my .exe?
Some other things you can try before you uninstall/reinstall.
Backup your BF2 folder that's inside your documents folder. Once you have a backup delete the original from your documents folder.
Try starting PR from your PR shortcut
a new default folder is created
link to your online account.
If all goes well (CTD gone) all you have to do to get your custom settings back is copy your 'control' file from your backup to the new profile folder.
path:
C:\Users\your user name here\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0002
note: you may not have a 0002 folder so use 0001
Hope it helps
