VOIP Issue

Post by aperson444 »

Hey guys. So recently I bought a headset that broke. On one ear the sound does not work, and the mic has been described as"inaudible" or "really f*cked up". As in, you can hear something, but it is NOT speech.

So my real problem here is with my replacement mic which is rather decent. The sound is fine (one ear of sound does not work), I can hear effects and music, and the Voice Over volume is at 100%. But I cannot hear other people on VOIP whatsoever. I am sure they can hear me (when I ask, they respond).

Help me or I may never be able to play PR again (I never play without proper VOIP)!

I also have this issue: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... abled.html

But from time-to-time only (probably only a glitch)

make sure you plugged every thing in correctly - sometimes only one side will work when the plug is not thoroughly attached (it might look like it is already but make sure its all the way in)

could also be that the sound card is broken, you should check that by attaching stereo speaker

there is also a "voip receive" volume that you have to not have at 0%

Yep, everything is plugged in fine. The side that does not work is not working because the small wires inside the cable were torn a bit because they were packed quite tightly.

Strangely enough, a similar issue happens when I play videos. Only on this headset though (I use my old one to watch videos)

I'm not sure if it's the Sound Card. Everything except this and videos doesn't work on this headset. Sadly, I do not have speakers anymore
