Xfire support!
Xfire
SHOW SOME LOVE FOR PROJECT REALITY!!!!!
I'm extremely amped, and really want PR to make it on XFire.
I think a lot of Project Reality fans use XFire, and it's a shame that the
mod has not been supported yet. Make a post in the thread, send
the link to everybody you know that plays Project Reality and tell them
to do the same.
The thread was made in '07 but barely has any posts, Project Reality
keeps on growing, and we need to show the XFire community
that we deserve to be supported!
SHOW SOME SUPPORT!!!! SEND THE LINK!!!
GET PROJECT REALITY SUPPORTED!!!

Re: XFIRE SUPPORT!
Yes xfire support would indeed be nice but i think this is something you should have a chat whit the xfire team itself since i dont think the dev's can do much about it

I checked this mod, and we are unable to support it separately from BF2. If there are any other changes in this mod, feel free to create another thread. Thanks!

Maybe they should specify why they are not able to support it.

Re: XFIRE SUPPORT!

Re: XFIRE SUPPORT!
Well they might not be able to support it even thou PR uses it's own exe file.
For example. You have two Xfire supported games. You start LockOn Modern Air Combat, in Xfire you'll be seen as playing LockOn. Then you start BF2, now in Xfire it will show that you play BF2 even thou LockOn is running in the background.
I guess the last run supported exe will show up which is the problem with PR as first you start the pr.exe where the pr.exe starts the bf2.exe which is the last run exe.

Re: XFIRE SUPPORT!
so the only thing needed is to add support for pr.exe and remove support for bf2.exe[R-DEV]MAINERROR wrote: I guess the last run supported exe will show up which is the problem with PR as first you start the pr.exe where the pr.exe starts the bf2.exe which is the last run exe.

Re: XFIRE SUPPORT!
Hmm, think that can be done from client side. Making so xfire doesn't recognize BF2 I mean. Only thing we need is that the Xfire supports the PR.exeDankE_SPB wrote:so the only thing needed is to add support for pr.exe and remove support for bf2.exe![]()

Re: XFIRE SUPPORT!
There's a difference between Special Forces and Project Reality.
SF is an expansion, so it makes sense to have it still as BF2.
Project Reality is a mod, and it's a mod that is a lot more difference than
BF2, no where near an expansion.
I think if we show enough support, maybe there will be a change, maybe
they'll actually work at getting PR on XFire and not just saying Ehhh,
we tried already, don't care.

I prefer Steam over XFire. More people have steam than XFire (could be wrong, don't hold me to it).Engineer wrote:Wrong tree mate, wrong tree.
Used to have one but was getting old so I dumped it, then came Steam and I'm OK as it is.

I like Xfire, i even use the option to log onto my MSN account on xfire so now i dont need to ALT + TAB (which takes like one age) to answer, now i can do it ingame too =D
