Hi,
I dl'ed patch 1.5 from several locations now, however, everytime I try to install it, it says I already installed a newer version, while I haven't patched since 1.41. I don't know how it comes, I could re-install, but if there's a quicker fix I'd appreciate it more.
It's really frustrating since I can't play PR or FH2, since both require the new patch.
Regards,
Monkey.

I think you answered your own question.
If not.
Uninstall all BF2 files and mods.

Re: BF2 patching error
The problem comes from not having a registry entry for "Version." Open regedit and go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2
(64 bit)
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2
(32 bit)
right click in the left section of the window, and go to New -> String value. Type Version and press enter. After that, double click the Version entry, and in the "Value data:" field put 1.4.
Now try running the 1.5 patch again.
