Can't install 3.5 .net framework *Please help*

I had project reality .86 installed then i updated bf2 patch 1.5 and then continued to update pr to .87. It says I needed .net framework version 3.5 sp1 to install. I couldnt get it to install. So it now shows my pr version as .87 but if i try to join a server it says cd key not valid. I retyped my cd key in the bf2 folder in that HKEY thing, but it still is doing it. I am guessing it is because the .87 installation did not complete. I uninstalled all the .net frameworks out of add/remove programs and it removed all but version 1 had error removing and it said it just took it out of the add/remove programs list cause it was probably already installed. I then started to reinstall all version but when I get to .net framework 3.0 an error occurs during the installation so it won't install. This is very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I got framework 3.5 sp1 installed with the offline installer in the sticky. I also got .87 version of pr installed successfully but now it still says invalid CD key when trying to join a game. any advice?

your windows has to be uptodate (latest service pack) to be able to get 3.5 to install

Yes I have read it. I Have did that and I have found that I am able to join and play on two project reality servers but on the rest it says your cd key is not valid still.

First, Unistall or Frameworks that you have on your computer. (recommend using CCleaner)
Restart Computer.
- Click Link Aaron Stebner's WebLog : Automated cleanup tool to remove the .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5
- On that page click the link that says .NET Framework Cleanup Tool User's Guide.
Install it and go throught the steps etc....
Restart computer again.
Then install all Frameworks again.

Good luck this helpled me when i was having the same problem.
