Video Card/Cell Phone advice

Post by LithiumFox »

I need help on yet another few questions.

I was thinking about getting a new GPU, and thought about getting the Nvidia GTX285 - 1gb. It's remotely cheaper than the 295, and a lot better than my 8500gt. Plus, I just need something I can play BF2 on full graphics with... while also enjoying something like... say.. Arma II on at least Low graphics ;)

So... (if i have the cash) should i get a GTX285? (i really want to get something good this time... XD)

Also, I was thinking about getting a Blackberry Storm from Verizon..... does anyone have any bad or good experiences with that?

Idk bout you but with my 9800 Gtx factory over clocked i can play WIC with all maxed With AA.

I betcha that card can play ARMA 2 without overclocking( from my experience)

New ATI cards are out in a week, wait for them, even if you're not interested it should lower the price of existing cards.

GTX 285 would probably be bottlenecked by that 6000+, i would go with that cheaper and very fast gtx 260 216 its will play any game on high and wont cost you an arm and a leg. also it might (with overclocking) not be bottlenecked. and remember eather one the 260 or the 285 will be considerably larger then that 8500 so make sure you have space in your case 10.5 or 11.5 inches i cant remmeber...

I have a friend that has a Storm. He loves it. Although he sometimes confuses it' shape with his iPod Touch. He stated the battery lasts about 11 hours without using the internet browser. I used it the other day, you wont be butt dialing. It takes almost a click to dial on the touch screen. I really enjoyed using it.
Steam?
Pissed about BF3 not having mod tools, also?
