should i install os on my second hd?

hi everyone bought a new hdd today as the one im using is filling up quick anyways i havent put the new one in yet just woundering if i should install windows on it? its primary use would be for installation of games, my plan was to keep my current hdd for normal **** like vids etc and the new one solely for games? so again question should i install windows on it?

Unless you plan to dual boot then no.

Simply pop it in and boot normally, Windows will recognise the drive, format it and it will be ready for use.

thats what i was thinking at first but then was thinking if i install games on it for example and when i run them wont the games need curtain components that are in the windows folder etc? like wont curtain games need curtain files? im not too sure about softwares etc lol 'who is this noob' lol
